Chief Financial Officer

Our client is a fast-growing Electronic Money Institution (EMI) headquartered in Vilnius , has German roots, and has been serving international clients with payments and financial services since 2020. They operate in a higher-risk (no crypto), high-impact environment having compliance as a cornerstone of their operations. We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer who takes full ownership of all finance-related topics, from financial planning to regulatory reporting and day-to-day operations . You will be the go-to person for everything finance, working directly with leadership, regulators, and external partners. Key responsibilities: Own and drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting , including building scalable financial models to support strategic decisions Take responsibility for day-to-day financial operations , ensuring smooth processes across payments, reconciliations, cash management, and treasury Oversee accounting and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and audit-readiness at all times Ensure full compliance with EMI regulatory requirements, including safeguarding of client funds, capital adequacy, and regulatory reporting Build, implement, and continuously improve finance processes, internal controls, and reporting structures in a scalable way Act as the main point of contact for auditors, regulators, and external partners , ensuring transparency and trust About You 5+ years in finance / controlling / audit Experience in fintech, payments, or regulated environments (EMI/bank) Strong knowledge of financial reporting, modeling, and controls Solid understanding of EMI-specific requirements (capital, safeguarding, reporting) Hands-on, structured, and ownership-driven mindset Native in Lithuanian and fluent in English Why join Hybrid work model Full ownership of the entire finance function Direct impact on a regulated fintech setup Build structures from scratch in a high-growth environment
