&vest buys beauty brands in the US and operates them, including Morphe, one of the most recognisable names in the category. It doesn't advise from the sidelines. &vest takes brands on, embeds its own operators directly into management, and builds them with three in-house units doing the work those brands would otherwise buy from agencies. Three years in, Morphe is on track to deliver one of the largest turnarounds in consumer history. Kapari joined the portfolio more recently. A third brand is in discussion with a major music-industry partner. More are coming. That growth is exactly why this role exists. The founder, who has raised and deployed hundreds of millions of dollars of capital in the beauty space, is sourcing the next brands while protecting execution on the ones already signed, and he's looking for a right hand to build alongside him. You'd be in the meetings from day one: across live deal processes, the portfolio brands and investor relations, learning in real time how someone operating at that level decides what to buy, what to fix first, and what to walk away from. It's a genuine support role. It's also a seat very few people ever get offered. The Role What you’ll own: Executive & Personal Support Own scheduling end-to-end alongside the existing AI calendar agent; keep it running well rather than doing manual scheduling. Organize and submit expenses (currently disorganized) — build a system, chase receipts, get things into Expensify without the founder having to think about it. Plan business and personal travel door-to-door, including trips that double as client relationship management. Handle personal admin and logistics with full discretion. Deal & Investor Support Track open items across live deal processes and vendor negotiations; chase counterparties and internal team until things close. Review and QA decks, memos, and discussion materials before they go external — professional standard, correct fonts, no unpolished AI output going out the door. Support financial modeling and make sure numbers are right before materials reach the finance team or investors. Maintain data rooms, pipeline trackers, and CRM; coordinate NDAs and diligence logistics. Portfolio & Operating Coordination Sit at the intersection of the operating system, the brands, and investor relations — help the founder balance new deal sourcing against execution risk on brands already in the portfolio. Coordinate with &code and &studio on trafficking, briefs, and deliverables moving between the founder, agencies, and brand teams. Flag slippage on campaigns, deal follow-ups, and vendor deliverables before the founder has to notice it himself. Team Integration Join the founder's meetings from day one to build context and trust quickly. Evolve from shadowing the founder into a core team member the wider team can go to directly, escalating to the founder only when needed. As trust builds, take on tasks outside the founder's direct orbit and, eventually, help manage or train other staff. The Person Who we’re looking for: Senior experience supporting a founder, CEO, or senior principal, or equivalent experience in a fast-moving agency, finance, or operations environment with real delegated authority, not just diary management. Have to be interested/slightly obsessed with beauty This is a career-transition profile. Someone with a strong agency, finance, or operations background looking for an accelerated route into a more strategic, senior role, not someone who has already done this exact job. Someone who can overlap with est hours: 2:00 pm – 8:00pm SAST Financially literate; comfortable reviewing models and numbers and understanding deal materials, without needing to be a finance specialist. Exceptional written English; able to draft materials the founder can send without heavy edits. High emotional intelligence, valued above raw IQ, paired with genuine hard-working drive. High agency and hands-on problem-solving across a wide range of work, comfortable being a generalist rather than a specialist. Discretion; comfortable operating under NDA with confidential deal information, financials, and personal matters. AI-tool fluency, or a demonstrated ability to build it fast; this office runs on AI daily.
