This role would suit a candidate with an IT support background who has had practical professional experience of working with Citrix troubleshooting and administration. Responsibilities As a Citrix Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day support, maintenance, monitoring, and improvement of Citrix services Your role will progress incidents, service requests, standard changes, and operational activities in line with customer expectations. You will have the opportunity to provide hands-on support across: Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Citrix Cloud Workspace StoreFront Delivery Controllers VDAs Citrix Director/Monitor Profile Management Workspace Environment Management Machine Creation Services or Provisioning Services Associated NetScaler/Citrix Gateway components You will work within defined support boundaries, owning assigned work through to resolution or appropriate escalation. Qualifications & Experience The ideal candidate for this role will have: 2–4 years of experience in infrastructure, end-user computing, VDI, application virtualisation, or a related support role, including practical exposure to Citrix administration and troubleshooting. Working knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and/or Citrix Cloud, including Workspace, StoreFront, Delivery Controllers, VDAs, Citrix Director/Monitor, policies, sessions, applications, and desktop delivery. Practical experience investigating common Citrix issues such as launch failures, disconnected or stuck sessions, profile faults, printing issues, application availability, logon delays, and general user experience incidents. Awareness of Citrix image and provisioning concepts, including Machine Creation Services and/or Provisioning Services, master or gold images, testing, rollout, rollback, and maintenance windows. Basic to intermediate knowledge of NetScaler/Citrix Gateway, including secure remote access, authentication, certificates, load balancing, session policies, and when to escalate complex configuration or availability issues. Understanding of Citrix Profile Management and FSLogix, with the ability to investigate common profile, container, permissions, capacity, and logon issues using documented procedures. Awareness of Citrix licensing, licence allocation and usage monitoring, and the ability to identify and escalate licence-related risks. Awareness of Citrix App Layering is desirable where used within supported customer environments. Good supporting knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, certificates, file services, printing, Entra ID, Azure infrastructure, networking, storage, monitoring, and endpoint management.
