THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an experienced investment professional for a permanent, full-time appointment in Mentenova’s Analytics Hub as a Client Solutions Specialist. This is not a traditional administrative support position. It is a broad investment consulting and execution role operating at the intersection of clients, investments, reporting, data, implementation, operations and technology. The successful candidate will play an important role in enabling our consultants and clients through high-quality execution while progressively taking greater ownership of client service, reporting, implementation and operational workflows.
The role also contributes directly to the Analytics Hub’s broader objective of building a reliable, accurate, efficient and scalable operating environment, with an increasing emphasis on better data, standardised processes, automation and the adoption and rollout of technology.
We are therefore looking for someone who can execute reliably today while continuously looking for ways to do the work better tomorrow.
PERMANENT ROLE | HYBRID BASED IN ROSEBANK | 5+ YEARS MIN. EXPERIENCE | BCOM / BSC (OR QUAILIFYING ENGINEERING BACKGROUND)
THE COMPANY
Mentenova is a leading South African investment specialist, bringing investment strategy and execution together under one roof. Established in 2012, the business works across investment consulting, portfolio solutions, implementation and ongoing investment oversight, serving institutional and individual clients with a goals-driven approach to investing.
We are a specialist team of approximately 35 people with more than 275 years of combined investment expertise. Our size allows us to combine deep technical capability with accessibility, agility and meaningful individual ownership. Mentenova’s approach is deliberately outcomes-focused: investment decisions are built around what clients need their capital to achieve, rather than simply managing towards an arbitrary benchmark.
Our consulting capability spans investment strategy, governance, manager research, reporting and implementation, while our broader investment offering includes implemented portfolios and bespoke local and global mandates. This integrated model means that strategy, implementation and ongoing oversight remain connected rather than operating in separate silos.
ROLE PURPOSE
The Client Solutions Specialist provides end-to-end support across client servicing, investment consulting, reporting, governance, implementation and operational execution. The role is responsible for accurate and timely delivery, maintaining trusted client and operational information, supporting consultants and client outcomes, and progressively improving the efficiency and scalability of processes.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Take ownership of recurring responsibilities and workflows.
- Resolve standard matters independently and drive them through to completion.
- Apply sound judgement and escalate complex issues appropriately.
- Work effectively across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
