Position Summary
The Regional Director of Client Marketing will own the marketing responsibilities for a dedicated region of the U.S., and with that, they own the relationships and strategic marketing-related thought leadership for each of their utility clients (and their customers), partnering effectively to activate business-building programs across the region.
This position will develop and maintain a proven best in class, data-driven, results-oriented playbook and adapt those approaches to fit the unique requirements each client/program that Franklin serves. They will also serve as an effective cross-functional partner and project leader for their regional leadership team. The incumbent must also have a transparent, open with data, and collaborative approach, so they can help create an optimized regional playbook. There will be constant opportunities to share best practices, as each region works to build compelling, dynamic programs that are unique to each client, and drive KPI’s for them and for Franklin.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Lead strategic planning and overall program budget delivery across a dedicated region of the U.S., including regional clients, and all programs activated in the marketplace
- Proactively work with the regional team to identify the higher-potential segments and customer personas that offer the greatest likelihood of converting and driving profitable, successful programs; manage on-going utilization of plan
- Provide leadership and support the regional team to build out programs that drive improved client KPI’s, cost of acquisition, which include brand, customer and financial objectives
- Proactively identify and successfully address any at risk clients, or program RFPs
- Oversee the deployment of marketing campaigns including digital, mass media and event marketing campaigns in coordination with internal creative and delivery staff and external advertising agencies.
- Develop best practices seeking continuous improvement and feedback on marketing values to clients and impact on programs
- Proactively communicate marketing campaigns effectiveness to all stakeholders in developing internal resource planning and managing customer expectations
- Initiate campaigns and tactics with the marketing project management system, prepare campaign strategy briefs and work with the marketing delivery and operations team to enter and manage creative requests so that campaigns are delivered on-time, on strategy and on quality.
- Review, analyze and communicate results of marketing promotions to determine level of success for each effort and identify areas to improve and innovate for your programs and clients. Use data and analysis to improve the success rate of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, day-to-day leadership to direct reports, as well as coaching and mentoring to enhance performance and development of staff.
- Mentor department personnel in achieving their personal goals annually as well as their long-term development goals.
- Match the capability with program needs to deliver the best outcomes for the clients.
- Build and lead a high-performing and client-centric team culture
Position Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- Advanced degree in related field preferred
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in marketing
- At least 5-7 years of supervisory experience
- At least 5-7 years of client management experience in a marketing capacity
- Demonstrated experience in leading a cross functional marketing team to deliver significant pipeline results and conversion across B2B and B2C segments, managing multiple accounts, client relationships, business development and staff management
- Experience leading a team, motivating employees, and generating results ideally in a remote environment
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Proven record of setting and achieving strategic goals
- Proficient in digital marketing, CRM, SEO, and analytics
- Ability to forecast, create, and adhere to a marketing budget
- Proven record of operational expertise
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems
- Strong client service and communication skills.
- Possess strong emotional intelligence both in client management and people leadership

Travel Requirements
- Willingness to travel up to 25 - 30%
Compensation & Benefits: Franklin Energy reasonably expects the starting salary for this position to fall between $145,000.00 and $155,000.00 Annually. The final offer will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, geographic location, and business needs.
