Role Description The Co-Founder (With Investment) role is a full-time remote position focused on driving LocalButcher’s growth and strategic direction. Day-to-day responsibilities include shaping business strategy, overseeing operations, and collaborating on product and technology decisions to enhance the customer experience. The Co-Founder will lead business development efforts, build partnerships with local butcher shops, and contribute to marketing and sales initiatives to grow market presence. This role also involves monitoring key performance metrics, conducting market research, and making data-informed decisions to scale the company sustainably. The ideal candidate is prepared to contribute capital, take ownership of core business functions, and work closely with the founding team to build and refine the brand.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for an entrepreneurial Co-Founder who is willing to invest capital as well as actively build the company.

This is not a passive investor position. The ideal person should be willing to take ownership, work alongside the founder, make decisions, solve operational problems and help scale LocalButcher across Hyderabad and eventually other cities.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive growth, operations and market expansion.
• Build strategies to acquire customers and increase repeat orders.
• Expand LocalButcher's network of neighbourhood butcher shops.
• Develop scalable vendor onboarding and management processes.
• Improve order fulfilment, delivery operations and customer experience.
• Build partnerships with meat brands, delivery providers and other ecosystem partners.
• Track unit economics including CAC, AOV, margins, delivery costs and retention.
• Recruit and manage teams as the business scales.
• Participate in product and business strategy alongside the founder.
• Help prepare the company for angel/VC fundraising.
• Build relationships with investors, strategic partners and potential enterprise partners.
• Take genuine ownership of LocalButcher's success rather than operating as an employee.

Investment & Equity

The selected Co-Founder will be expected to make a meaningful financial investment in LocalButcher

Equity will be determined based on factors including:

Investment amount + role commitment + relevant experience + responsibilities + long-term contribution.

The final structure, shareholder rights, vesting and responsibilities would be documented through appropriate legal agreements.
