Our team of 4,600+ people brings together different cultures, perspectives, and experiences. Together we create vehicle, smartphone, and consumer financing solutions for more than 2.2 million registered users worldwide.
At Eleving Group, you’ll think beyond one role, team, or market - working across borders, making an international impact, and seeing your work travel beyond your desk as you grow with the company.
We are looking for a Collection & Credit Administration Manager to join Mogo Romania, part of Eleving Group! As Collection & Credit Administration Manager, you will own the full debt collection and credit administration function at Mogo Romania. You will lead three teams, set up the strategy and KPIs, manage the budget and external partners, and help top management shape our lending and collection strategy.
Your mission: maximize recovery, keep portfolio risk under control, and make sure every customer interaction is compliant, respectful, and efficient.
What You Will Do:
Lead and grow the teams
- Manage the Collection and Administration department, allocating work and responsibilities efficiently
- Set individual and team objectives (KPIs/OKRs) aligned with company strategy
- Monitor performance and give regular feedback, coaching and training
- Build a collaborative, motivating culture and a succession plan for key roles
Shape collection strategy
- Design and implement collection strategies and procedures that maximize recovery
- Adjust strategies based on results, portfolio trends and market changes
- Define how teams communicate and negotiate with customers: payment terms, repayment plans and restructuring, always within company policy
- Contribute to the overall lending and collection strategy together with top management
Drive performance with data
- Track collection KPIs daily and deliver regular reports to management
- Analyze data and trends to spot problems and improvement opportunities early
- Continuously review processes to keep collection activity efficient and effective
Manage portfolio risk
- Assess risks in the receivables portfolio and put prevention measures in place
- Monitor portfolio quality on an ongoing basis
- Oversee the transfer of receivables to third parties, including debt sales and assignments
Keep everything compliant
- Ensure collection activity complies with Romanian legislation, regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Ensure GDPR and data protection rules are applied correctly across all collection processes
- Work with Legal and Compliance on complex or litigious cases
- Support internal and external audits by clarifying operational processes
Digitalize and improve
- Lead projects that implement new solutions in debt collection
- Identify needs for automation and digitalization and deliver them with IT and external vendors
- Bring in best practices and technology that make collection faster and smarter
Own the budget and partnerships
- Manage the department budget and make sure resources are used efficiently
- Monitor and control collection costs
- Manage relationships with external partners: collection agencies, law firms and recovery providers
What We Are Looking For:
Must-haves
- 5+ years of experience in debt collection, recovery or credit administration in banking, non-bank lending (IFN), leasing or consumer finance
- 3+ years managing teams, ideally several teams or team leaders at once
- Proven track record of building collection strategies and improving recovery rates
- Solid knowledge of Romanian consumer credit and debt collection legislation, NBR requirements and GDPR
- Strong analytical skills: comfortable with KPIs, portfolio data, reporting and Excel; BI tools are a plus
- Experience working with external collection agencies, law firms and debt sale or assignment processes
- Fluent Romanian and very good English (written and spoken)
Nice to have
- Experience with both secured (auto) and unsecured portfolios
- Hands-on experience implementing collection software, dialers or digital self-service and automation tools
- Budget ownership and cost control experience
- A people leader mindset: you coach, you set clear goals and you build successors
What We Offer:
- Competitive compensation package based on your experience and qualifications, including performance-based bonus
- Health insurance from Day 1
- Hybrid work setup with 3 days a week from the office & flexible working hours
- Support for learning & development
- Active social agenda with team events and company initiatives
- Opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment driving commercial growth
