We’re looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to join us on a three-day-a-week job share. It’s a brilliant opportunity to take on a senior, influential role while enjoying the flexibility of a part-time working pattern.
You’ll be at the heart of our financial planning, performance and pricing, helping us understand what’s working, where the opportunities lie and how we can keep growing sustainably. From shaping budgets and forecasts to getting under the skin of our Virgin Points economics, you’ll turn complex financial information into clear insights that make a real difference.
What you’ll be getting stuck into
- Leading financial planning and analysis across Virgin Red, including annual budgets, forecasts and longer-term plans that help shape our future.
- Taking ownership of our Virgin Points economics, making sure our pricing, margins and partner arrangements support sustainable, profitable growth.
- Turning financial data into meaningful insights, producing clear, compelling reports and recommendations for our Leadership Team and Board.
- Partnering with senior stakeholders across Finance, Commercial and Pricing, challenging assumptions, influencing decisions and helping turn opportunities into action.
- Building financial models and exploring different scenarios to spot risks, uncover opportunities and help the business stay one step ahead.
- Finding smarter ways of working, using tools like AI and Power BI to simplify reporting, improve efficiency and make our financial insights even more valuable.
- Leading and developing a small team, creating an environment where people feel supported, challenged and empowered to do brilliant work.
What you’ll bring
- A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), with post-qualified experience and a strong grounding in commercial finance.
- Solid experience in financial planning and analysis, management reporting and building detailed financial models, ideally in a complex, fast-moving business.
- Sharp commercial instincts and strong analytical skills. You can see beyond the numbers, connect the dots and turn financial information into practical recommendations.
- Confidence working with senior leaders, building trusted relationships and constructively challenging thinking, even when the conversations aren't straightforward.
- Advanced Excel skills, strong financial modelling capabilities and an interest in using AI and technology to work smarter.
- A curious, proactive and adaptable approach, alongside the ability to lead and develop others, juggle competing priorities and stay calm when things change.

The essentials
- Working pattern: Part-time, 3 days per week (job share), with Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as the likely working days.
- Salary: £75,000 – £91,000 (full-time equivalent), plus bonus. Both salary and bonus will be pro-rated to reflect the 3-day working week. We’re big on transparency, so no smoke and mirrors here. We’ll always offer a salary that reflects your experience, with room to grow within the range.
- Where you’ll work: We’d love to see you in the office around 1 day a week (of your 3 working days) — the rest is yours to work in your own space.
