About the Role
Join a growing middle-market commercial litigation practice as an attorney with 6 to 10 years of experience. You will independently manage complex disputes from inception through resolution, including trial and arbitration.
What You'll Do
Manage commercial disputes involving contracts, warranties, mechanic's liens, bond claims, and business torts.
Develop litigation strategies and handle matters in state and federal courts.
Draft pleadings, substantive motions, briefs, and other legal documents, and argue motions as appropriate.
Lead discovery, including preparing and responding to written requests and taking and defending depositions.
Prepare for and participate in hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, arbitrations, and trials.
What We're Looking For
Six to 10 years of commercial litigation experience, including independently managing complex cases end to end.
Colorado bar admission, or admission expected within approximately one month.
Experience with breach of contract and business tort matters, as well as taking and defending depositions.
Trial or arbitration experience and the ability to discuss litigation results in detail.
Graduation from an accredited U.S. law school and a law school GPA of at least 3.0.
Experience at a boutique or small-to-midsize firm is valued; construction or defects litigation and Colorado mechanic's lien or bond claims experience are helpful.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary is $250,000 to $300,000 annually, with merit-based pay. The role has a 1,900-hour billable target, with an hours bonus available in 25-hour increments from 1,900 to 2,300 hours, plus 10% fee origination credit on qualifying collected fees.
