What you’ll bring
This placement is for a penultimate-year student from any degree discipline with a genuine interest in how organisations communicate. You’ll contribute to real work from day one. You’re curious, collaborative, and a clear communicator, someone who thinks creatively and tackles complex problems head on.
- A genuine interest in how organisations connect with their audiences, understanding what matters to the people you communicate with.
- A confident writer with a strong eye for detail, tone, and clarity.
- A broad understanding of communications as a business function and you know why clear, consistent messaging matters.
- Some experience with social media, content creation, or media from studies, personal projects, or work experience.
- Able to manage your own workload and collaborate effectively across teams, including with senior stakeholders.
- An open mindset toward AI - you’re willing to experiment, collaborate with AI tools, and take responsibility for the outputs you produce.
What you’ll build
You’ll join SAP UK’s communications team working on content that reaches employees, customers, and stakeholders worldwide. Your work will be visible, meaningful, and built from real briefs.
- Create and edit content across multiple channels, including press releases, social media, and internal newsletters.
- Support the development and delivery of internal communication strategies.
- Work with cross-functional teams and SAP executives to develop and land key messages.
- Help keep employees informed and engaged through well-crafted, timely content.
- Use SAP’s AI-powered tools, including Joule, SAP’s generative AI assistant, to support content creation and ideation.
- Explore how SAP’s own AI capabilities are communicated to customers and stakeholders and contribute to that story.
Where you belong
SAP UK’s 13-month placement programme puts you at the heart of how a global technology company tells its story. You’ll work alongside experienced communications professionals on content that reaches audiences across the UK and beyond. When you join SAP, you’ll be a part of SAP Next Gen, a global community of students and early professionals with access to mentors, development programmes, and peers. This placement is based at our Feltham office, with exposure to both UK and global communications work.
