What you’ll do | Hei mahi

  • Develop and optimize end-to-end communication workflows, utilizing AI and automation to enhance efficiency and impact.
  • Analyze and map our current communication processes to identify and eliminate manual burdens, friction, and redundant steps.
  • Leverage generative AI tools for strategic content planning, audience personalization, and creating tailored messaging such as auto-summaries and personalized updates.
  • Reduce communication "noise" for our store and support teams by implementing smart batching, auto-summarisation, and targeted content delivery.
  • Utilize communications channel data and AI-driven insights to inform strategy, refine our internal AI models, and maximize engagement across our teams.
  • Collaborate with operations and internal communications teams to reimagine communication flows and scale innovative solutions across the Woolworths Group.

What you’ll bring | Hei koha

  • Proven experience in a communications role (internal communications preferred), ideally within a retail or grocery environment.
  • Strong background in process redesign and business analysis, with experience in process mapping (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma, BPMN), root-cause analysis, and translating complex needs into clear requirements.
  • A practical and grounded understanding of generative AI, agentic workflows (e.g., CrewAI/LangChain), and prompt engineering, with a focus on delivering tangible business value.
  • Experience implementing and working with generative AI tools for tasks like content drafting, summarization, or personalization.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to inform communications strategy and track engagement.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and align teams across different platforms and departments.
  • Familiarity with using AI to improve workflows within existing systems is highly desirable; experience with Salesforce or UKG Pro is a bonus.
