The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Officer to support compliance monitoring, policy implementation, risk assessment, and regulatory documentation. In this part-time remote role, you will help ensure that business activities follow established requirements, maintain accurate compliance records, and support the development of effective controls and procedures.

The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and capable of handling sensitive information while working collaboratively with internal teams and relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor business activities and internal procedures for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Conduct compliance reviews, documentation checks, and risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate compliance records, registers, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with regulatory submissions, reporting requirements, and compliance-related correspondence.
• Identify potential compliance gaps, control weaknesses, and areas requiring corrective action.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to address compliance issues and track remediation activities.
• Support internal audits, external reviews, and regulatory inspections.
• Monitor regulatory updates and communicate relevant changes to stakeholders.
• Assist with employee compliance awareness and policy communication activities.
• Escalate significant compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
• Recommend improvements to compliance processes, monitoring activities, and risk management practices.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in compliance, risk management, internal audit, regulatory affairs, or a related field preferred.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Risk Management, or a related discipline preferred.
• Familiarity with compliance monitoring, regulatory documentation, internal controls, and risk assessment.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance or document management systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently in a remote environment.
• High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professional judgment.
• Relevant industry-specific compliance experience is an advantage.
