Position Overview The Insurance Industry Consultant supports insurance organizations in the United States with business strategy, operations, process improvement, risk management, and technology initiatives. This role works closely with clients and internal teams to analyze business needs, develop practical recommendations, and support the implementation of solutions that improve efficiency, compliance, customer experience, and business performance. Key Responsibilities Provide consulting support to U.S. insurance companies, brokers, agencies, carriers, and related organizations. Analyze insurance business processes, operating models, workflows, and performance data to identify risks and opportunities for improvement. Support projects across property and casualty, life, health, commercial, or personal lines insurance, as applicable. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, industry benchmarking, and regulatory research related to the U.S. insurance market. Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, process reviews, and data analysis. Develop business cases, strategic recommendations, process maps, operating procedures, reports, presentations, and implementation plans. Support insurance transformation initiatives involving underwriting, claims, policy administration, billing, distribution, customer service, and risk management. Collaborate with client stakeholders, actuaries, underwriters, claims professionals, compliance teams, technology teams, and executive leadership. Assist with project planning, status reporting, issue tracking, risk management, and delivery of consulting engagements. Evaluate the impact of U.S. insurance regulations, including state and federal requirements, on business processes and operations. Use data and business insights to recommend improvements in operational efficiency, customer experience, cost management, and compliance. Prepare clear, accurate, and professional communications for both technical and non-technical audiences. Stay informed about insurance industry trends, InsurTech, artificial intelligence, automation, regulatory developments, and emerging business models. Qualifications Experience: 3-7 years of experience in insurance consulting, management consulting, insurance operations, risk management, business analysis, or a related field. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the U.S. insurance industry, including insurance products, policy administration, underwriting, claims, billing, distribution, and customer service processes. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Insurance, Information Systems, or a related field. A master's degree is an advantage. Consulting Skills: Ability to assess complex business challenges, structure analyses, develop recommendations, and support client decision-making. Analytical Skills: Strong capability in quantitative and qualitative analysis, data interpretation, problem-solving, and business process improvement. Communication: Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and contribute effectively to client engagements and cross-functional projects. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and collaboration tools. Experience with business intelligence, process mapping, CRM, or insurance technology platforms is an advantage. Work Authorization: Ability to support clients and projects operating in the United States, with working hours aligned to U.S. time zones when required. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with U.S. property and casualty, life, health, commercial, or personal lines insurance organizations. Knowledge of insurance regulations, compliance requirements, risk controls, and industry standards in the United States. Experience with insurance core systems, policy administration platforms, claims systems, underwriting tools, or billing platforms. Professional certifications such as CPCU, ARM, AINS, FLMI, PMP, CISA, or relevant insurance and consulting credentials are a plus. Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, process modeling, data visualization, or business intelligence tools. Previous experience delivering client presentations, leading workshops, or supporting executive-level stakeholders.
