Is this job info correct?
At Konekt, we know that having strong First Nations voices in our team makes all the difference. We’d love to yarn with you about joining us and the meaningful work we do every day supporting recovery, function and independence.

We’re currently on the lookout for Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Exercise Physiologists, Psychologists, Rehab Counsellors or Social Workers to join our team of rehabilitation consultants in Darwin.

This position is identified for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and is intended to constitute a special measure under section 8 (1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth), and section 57 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1996 (NT).

Since 1992, we’ve been supporting Australians return to work, recover from injury, and re-engage with their social and community life. Now one of Australia’s largest providers of injury prevention, injury management and workplace wellbeing services, we deliver the highest level of care and services to over 30,000 people annually. We’re constantly rethinking and evolving how we can better support people and organisations, to change how they think about health and safety, and get the very best out of every team member.

How We Support Our Mob

We’re proud to be walking the reconciliation journey with our Innovate RAP, and we’re lucky to have Karen Griffiths, Head of First Nations, leading the way and driving real change across our business.

  • Salary sacrifice options and ability to purchase extra leave
  • Paid parental leave
  • Discounts at heaps of Aussie retailers and health insurance providers
  • Career development tailored to your goals
  • Flexibility to structure your day, WFH and choice to work a compressed 9-day fortnight
  • Ongoing training, career progression and professional development opportunities
  • An extremely generous incentive program
  • First Nations Community Yarn — a safe online space to connect, share stories and support each other. We meet monthly to yarn about what matters to Mob
  • First Nations Project Advisory Group — working alongside Karen on internal First Nations-specific projects we’re always open to new voices
  • EAP Support Line — free, confidential yarns with First Nations clinicians for work or personal support
  • Reconciliation and NAIDOC Week celebrations, celebrated with heart across all our teams
  • Support for First Nations staff to choose an alternative public holiday in place of 26 January
  • A First Nations Book and Film Club for mob and allies

Our Deadly First Nations Team Member Will

Assist with developing and delivering culturally appropriate programs and services for our First Nations clients to assist them to address the barriers they face in their lives. With a focus on a holistic approach, you will empower our clients and make a real impact on their lives.

  • Use specialist knowledge and skills to help people return to meaningful employment
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals, delivering services and advice to a variety of industries across the entire employee lifecycle
  • Evaluate the treatment and/or rehabilitation needs of workers who have been involved in a work-related or non-work-related injury or illness
  • Support clients to identify future employment or training options
  • Perform assessments in your area of clinical expertise – including functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic or daily living assessments
  • Case management to plan, coordinate and monitor client progress toward their return-to-work goals
  • Engage with key stakeholders and develop strong relationships that drive successful partnerships

As part of the APM group, you have the opportunity to grow your career in Human Services across multiple global brands and geographies. A diverse team of over 16,000 people across 11 countries with a shared purpose – to enable better lives for our employees and the communities we work in. Our work enables the people we serve to realise their ambitions and aspirations through sustainable employment, independence, better health and wellbeing and increased social participation

Thinking about applying? Here's what we're looking for:

  • An understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
