SUMMARY The Marketing Department of Project MORE is seeking a talented individual to assist our marketing team with writing and editing, compelling editorial and promotional copy. This position reports to the Content Marketing Manager. Type: Internship Term: 3 month Hours per Week: 10-12 Workplace: Remote Project MORE seeks individuals with a positive, energetic, can-do attitude that believes in our mission and “Be MORE. This position is best suited for an individual interested in gaining experience within a well-organized, respected non-profit who wants to gain experience in their related career and give back to the community. The Copywriter will assist our communications team with developing creative digital, print, and broadcast media content and writings. RESPONSIBILITIES Write high-engaging content that reflects our brand’s voice Draft web copy, blog posts, social media posts, press releases, op-eds, media advisories, fact sheets, and other copy/content for a variety of channels Collaborate with Marketing & Communications Team to develop a variety of content Create compelling and concise copy for newsletters, email campaigns, blog posts, website, and marketing collateral Produce error-free content that adheres to the organization’s brand/style guidelines Interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts Simultaneously manage multiple tasks/projects with short deadlines Propose copy concepts and present underlying strategic thinking to business leaders Work with Marketing Coordinator and Graphic Designer to bring visual concepts to life through written word and vice versa Assist or coordinate for translation of copy into other languages, ensuring meaning is retained cross-linguistically Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Requirements: High school diploma 1+ year experience in creative, content, editorial, public relations, or promotional copywriting or copyediting Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, while meeting tight deadlines Be a quick learner and self start and have cultural humility Experience using and writing for major social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. Manage time effectively, able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, while meeting tight deadlines both collaboratively and independently Proficient using a collaborative content sharing programs like Google G Suite Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including having a rich understanding of the English language Available to devote at least 10 hours per week to Project MORE Foundation Pass a background and reference check Desired Experience: In progress or recently completed an associate’s or bachelor's degree in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing, Marketing, or similar. 2 years experience writing content for a third-party in a voice/tone that adheres to brand standards Familiar with Zoho (One) applications Bilingual in Spanish or Vietnamese Familiar with content management systems (CMS) Familiarity with working with data and effectively reporting on KPIs Experience working with LGBTQ+ community and nonprofit organization - bonus if you have experience writing LGBTQ+ inclusive content.
