Content Editor

The Sikh Research Institute seeks a skilled contract Content Editor to support its publishing and research from July-Dec 2026. The editor will refine and polish written content across multiple projects, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency with SikhRI's voice and standards, serving as a copyeditor and proofreader. Deliverables State of the Panth Reports : Comprehensive copyediting and proofreading of longform reports, including feedback on structure, clarity, and flow. Estimated 15–20 hours per report, 2 reports. The Sikh History Project : Editing 2 longform articles for grammar, readability, and consistency; light editing of 12 shortform factsheets for flow. Estimated 3 hours per article, 30 minutes per factsheet. Qualifications Demonstrated experience editing longform nonfiction, academic, or research-oriented content Strong command of grammar, style, and clarity Ability to preserve an author's voice while improving readability Familiarity with Sikh history, tradition, or related fields Familiarity with SikhRI content and voice Engagement This is a project-based contract role. The editor will be engaged on a per-deliverable basis with set payments made upon delivery.
