The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Contract Management Manager / Claims Specialist to oversee contract administration, commercial obligations, claims, variations, and contractual risk. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret contractual terms, assess commercial impacts, coordinate stakeholders, and develop well-supported recommendations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage contract administration activities throughout the full contract lifecycle.
- Review contracts, agreements, amendments, purchase orders, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor contractual obligations, milestones, deliverables, notices, and key deadlines.
- Identify contractual risks, commercial exposures, and potential areas of dispute.
- Prepare, review, and administer claims, variations, extensions of time, and compensation events.
- Analyze the contractual and commercial basis of claims and assess supporting evidence.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, finance, procurement, legal teams, contractors, and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, correspondence, notices, variations, claims, and decisions.
- Review contractor and supplier submissions for contractual and commercial compliance.
- Support negotiations relating to pricing, scope changes, delays, variations, and claims settlements.
- Monitor project progress and assess potential contractual impacts arising from delays or changes.
- Prepare contractual notices, claim assessments, commercial reports, and management recommendations.
- Support dispute avoidance and resolution through structured documentation and stakeholder communication.
- Track contract values, commitments, variations, payments, and commercial forecasts.
- Develop contract-management procedures, templates, trackers, and reporting frameworks.
- Identify opportunities to improve contract governance, commercial controls, and claims-management processes.
- 3+ years of professional experience in contract management, claims, commercial management, procurement, construction, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Bachelorโs degree or equivalent qualification in Law, Business, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred.
- Strong understanding of contract administration, claims management, variations, and commercial risk.
- Ability to interpret contractual clauses, project documentation, correspondence, schedules, and commercial records.
- Experience assessing claims, delays, change orders, extensions of time, and contractual entitlements.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain comprehensive contractual records.
- Strong understanding of project costs, commercial controls, budgets, and financial impacts.
- Familiarity with contract-management systems, spreadsheets, project-management platforms, and digital collaboration tools.
- Ability to manage confidential information and sensitive commercial matters professionally.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts, claims, and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a fully remote international environment.
