RecruitmentPlus on behalf of our client have an interesting new role for a Contracts Manager to specialise in architectural features on varied and creative projects with well-known brands and architects.

This organisation give buildings their identity – entrances, facades, signage, integrated LED lighting and canopies. Designing these features as one coordinated solution, you will work with architects, designers, contractors and major brands to design, manufacture and install their concepts as a modular and straightforward solution.

This will suit someone who enjoys overseeing the whole project, owning it from the first conversations through design, costing and build and will spend time on design development through to delivery. You’ll be backed up by a supportive and experienced team to work alongside.

Requirements:

• Circa 5 years managing design-and-build projects in a specialist field such as architectural aluminium or metalwork, façades, signage, retail fit-out, architectural lighting or modular construction.
• Experience pricing work and managing project budgets and variations.
• Confidence presenting to architects and clients.
• Able to read and review technical drawings.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to the UK.

Desirable

• A qualification in architectural technology, engineering, construction management or similar.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD / Inventor / SolidWorks / Revit.
• Existing relationships with architects or design agencies in Ireland or the UK.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Design development

• Work with architects, designers and clients to understand the look and identity they want.
• With our design team, develop concepts into practical solutions using extruded aluminium, fabricated components, sheet materials, specialist finishes and LED lighting.
• Improve buildability and cost while protecting the original design intent.

Costing and pitching

• Prepare costings, quotations and tenders, and propose value-engineered alternatives.
• Present our concepts and technical solutions to clients and design teams.
• Build relationships with architectural practices, design agencies and main contractors.

Delivery

• Manage projects through manufacture, logistics and installation.
• Own the programme, budget and variations on each project.
