Contract Writer - A Daily Devotional for Men

Location: Remote Position Overview We are seeking a contract writer to develop a Christ-centered daily devotional for men that can be completed in just a few minutes each day. Each entry should provide practical encouragement, Scripture reflection, and a brief, actionable takeaway that helps men apply God’s Word to their daily lives. The strongest proposals will clearly define the reader, their challenges, and show how the devotional equips them to grow their knowledge and love for God and His Word—even in small daily moments. Scope of Work Research, outline, and write a full-length manuscript (approximately 45,000–75,000 words) Collaborate closely with the editorial team through multiple rounds of revision Ensure theological alignment with The Daily Grace Co.’s doctrinal commitment Commitment Contract, per-project basis. Compensation Compensation is determined based on project scope and complexity. Additional Information Contractors are engaged based on the needs of specific projects and are not guaranteed ongoing or full-time work. Target Audience Description (One of the Most Important Sections) Who this book is specifically for Their stage or season of life The particular struggles, questions, or longings they are experiencing Why this book matters to them now Tip: Specificity is essential. Broad descriptions such as “Christian women” or “believers” are not sufficient. 5. Comparable Titles (2–3 from the Past 5 Years) Identify 2–3 comparable books published within the last five years and explain: How your book overlaps with each one How it is meaningfully distinct in approach, audience, tone, or theological emphasis 6. Author Bio Explain what uniquely qualifies you to write this book, including: Education Ministry, counseling, academic, or professional experience Subject-matter expertise Lived experience relevant to the topic (if appropriate) Previous publishing or writing experience 7. Detailed Chapter Outline Provide a working table of contents that includes: Chapter titles The main idea of each chapter and how it supports the controlling idea of the book 8. Sample Material The complete book introduction Two fully written sample chapters representative of the final manuscript 9. Front and Back Matter (Optional) Describe any supplemental materials (e.g., photography, illustrations, reflection questions, discussion guides, recommended resources, liturgies, appendices, etc.). 10.
