What You'll Own

• Accounting & Close: Lead end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including reconciliations, accruals, and complex accounting adjustments.
• US GAAP & Reporting: Own financial statement preparation and review, ensuring accurate, timely, and US GAAP-compliant reporting.
• Accounting Operations: Oversee GL, AP/AR, payroll accounting, and the quality of the accounting team's work.
• Multi-Entity Accounting: Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidations where applicable.
• Controls & Audit: Strengthen internal controls, maintain audit readiness, and coordinate with external auditors.
• Systems & Improvements: Optimize ERP workflows, improve accounting processes, and partner with US finance leadership.

What We're Looking For

• Strong accounting ownership: Proven experience independently managing the full close cycle, financial reporting, and core accounting operations.
• Hands-on US GAAP expertise: Practical experience applying US GAAP, or strong NIIF (IFRS) experience, ideally while supporting US-based businesses.
• Technical depth: Strong understanding of financial statements, complex reconciliations, accruals, and internal controls.
• Leadership & problem-solving: Ability to oversee accounting work, resolve complex issues, and drive improvements independently.
• Good English communication: Confidence working directly with US finance teams and senior stakeholders.

Good to Have

• Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similar accounting ERPs.
• Multi-entity accounting and consolidation experience.
• Contador Público (with tarjeta profesional), CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience working with US startups, growing businesses, or international teams.
