Company Description Lion Forge Comics, along with its young readers imprint Roar Comics, produces award-winning comic books and graphic novels featuring globally recognized licensed properties and original concepts. The company is rapidly growing, with plans to bring around 28 titles—including single issues, serials, trade paperbacks, and original graphic novels—to market in its first year of solo-branded print publishing. As an African-American owned company, Lion Forge is committed to “Comics for Everyone,” reflecting the diversity of the world in its characters, creative teams, and home office staff. Team members join a mission-driven, inclusive environment focused on storytelling, innovation, and representation.
Role Description This is a part-time, remote Cook role supporting Lion Forge Comics by planning and preparing meals for virtual events, staff gatherings, and special projects that may require food styling or themed culinary concepts. The Cook will develop menus aligned with event themes, coordinate ingredient sourcing, and prepare dishes that can be easily packaged, shipped, or demonstrated via video. Day-to-day tasks include food preparation, portioning, basic food safety practices, and maintaining clear documentation of recipes and processes for internal use. The Cook will collaborate with event coordinators and creative staff to design visually appealing dishes that complement comic and graphic novel branding, and may participate in virtual demonstrations or recorded content. The role requires reliable time management, clear communication, and the ability to work independently in a remote kitchen setting.
