CORPORATE ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR

Since 1877, The Fresh Air Fund (Fresh Air) has been a leading youth development organization providing transformative opportunities for children and young adults from New York City's underserved communities. Rooted in the belief that access to nature and outdoor experiences can change lives, Fresh Air connects young people to the outdoors while providing opportunities for personal growth, leadership development and exploration. Through free summer camp and year-round leadership development, educational enrichment and career exploration programs, Fresh Air helps young people develop the skills, confidence and connections they need to thrive.

Serving more than 1.8 million children throughout its history, Fresh Air remains committed to expanding access to life-changing experiences that empower young people to reach their full potential. At Fresh Air, employees are driven by purpose, collaboration and a shared commitment to creating opportunities that help young people succeed.

Position Summary

The Corporate Engagement Coordinator is a fundraising professional who develops and manages Fresh Air’s corporate partnerships and hands-on volunteer experiences, connecting corporate support and employee engagement with youth development initiatives, summer programs, and community projects. This role is ideal for an organized, personable, relationship-driven development professional who is energized by turning corporate philanthropy and volunteer engagement into meaningful support for young people. Reporting to the Director of Institutional Giving, the Coordinator works closely with program leaders and the broader Development Team to align corporate resources with organizational needs and build lasting partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with corporate partners and volunteer groups, serving as a primary point of contact for day-to-day coordination.
  • Design and manage corporate engagement and volunteer opportunities — including on-site camp visits, school year activities, and community projects — that align with youth development goals.
  • Facilitate on-site volunteer activities, corporate engagement days, and special program or camp visits, including some evenings and weekend days, as well as occasional travel to the Fresh Air camps in the mid-Hudson Valley
  • Collaborate closely with the Development Team, institutional giving staff, and program leaders to align corporate resources, sponsorships, and in-kind support with organizational needs.
  • Prepare briefing materials, event recaps, and follow-up communications for corporate partner meetings and volunteer events.
  • Maintain accurate corporate partner records, volunteer participation data, and next steps in Salesforce.
  • Support the cultivation of new corporate prospects, including researching potential partners and preparing outreach materials.
  • Coordinate logistics for large-scale corporate events, such as field days and volunteer days, in partnership with internal teams and outside vendors.
  • Represent Fresh Air at corporate site visits, networking events, and volunteer days as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in nonprofit development, volunteer management, partnership coordination, or a related field; recent graduates with strong relevant internship experience will be considered.
  • Experience with CRM/donor databases preferred; Salesforce experience a plus.
  • Strong project management, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to build bridges between corporate networks and community needs.
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple partners and events simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working directly with volunteers and corporate partners in a professional and personable manner, both in person and virtually.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A dedicated commitment to youth development and Fresh Air's mission supporting New York City children.
  • As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, Fresh Air requires all employees to meet applicable vaccination requirements in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. As new public health issues arise, Fresh Air may require additional vaccinations. Proof of vaccination or an approved exemption will be required as a condition of employment, if applicable.

This at-will position is full-time, based in our New York City office, and currently requires three days a week in the office. Fresh Air offices are open and available all week, and all employees are permitted and encouraged to come to the office to work. Fresh Air may modify its remote work policy generally or with respect to any position at any time.

Salary & Benefits

The salary for this at-will position is $55,000-$60,000, commensurate with experience. Fresh Air offers a generous benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, commuter benefits, and employer and employee retirement contribution plans.

Application Instructions: To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter. We are hiring on a rolling basis and encourage interested applicants to apply as early as possible. No calls or recruiters, please.
