Country Director

Role Description The Country Director role is a part-time remote position responsible for leading and representing OPERATIONS FORUM SOM (PG), MITWPU at the national level. The Country Director will oversee strategic planning for forum activities, expand the network of members and partners, and promote the forum’s initiatives across academic, industry, and professional communities. Daily tasks include coordinating online events and discussions, managing collaborations with institutions and organizations, and ensuring consistent communication through digital channels and social media. The role also involves gathering feedback from stakeholders, monitoring trends in operations and supply chain management, and providing regular updates and reports to the core leadership team. The Country Director will work closely with regional representatives and volunteers to strengthen the forum’s reach and impact.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of operations, supply chain, inventory, and warehousing, with the ability to relate trends and best practices to diverse audiences.
• Experience in leadership or coordination roles, including managing teams, projects, or initiatives at a regional or national level.
• Excellent communication skills, including public speaking, presentation, and professional writing for digital platforms.
• Proficiency in using online collaboration tools, social media, and virtual event platforms to engage and grow communities.
• Background in business, management, operations, or a related field; advanced study or professional certifications in operations or supply chain are an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and meet agreed timelines.
• Experience building partnerships with academic institutions, professional bodies, or industry organizations is highly beneficial.
