Country Manager - Food & FMCG

Dublin | Flexible Hybrid | Negotiable Salary + Bonus + Company Car + Pension

Ready to take your grocery commercial career to the next level?

We're recruiting for an established, successful Irish-owned food business with annual turnover of approximately €150 million, seeking a commercially ambitious professional to lead and grow its retail business.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of major grocery customer relationships, develop new commercial opportunities and make a meaningful contribution to the continued growth of the business.

The opportunity

Working with major Irish grocery retailers, including Tesco Ireland, Dunnes Stores, Musgrave/SuperValu and BWG, you'll be responsible for developing customer relationships and driving profitable sales growth.

The business has a broad food portfolio, with particular strengths across frozen and chilled products, poultry, seafood, prepared foods and private label.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and growing relationships with major Irish grocery customers.
  • Leading commercial negotiations, pricing discussions and Joint Business Plans.
  • Identifying opportunities for new listings, product development and category expansion.
  • Growing branded and private-label business across existing customers.
  • Working closely with internal commercial, category and supply chain teams to deliver customer plans.
  • Taking ownership of commercial performance, profitability and business growth.

Who we're looking for

We're particularly interested in commercially driven professionals with:

  • Strong experience managing at least one major Irish grocery account, such as Tesco, Dunnes Stores, Musgrave or BWG.
  • A background in food FMCG, ideally frozen, chilled, poultry, seafood, meat or prepared foods.
  • Proven account development, commercial negotiation and customer relationship skills.
  • Experience identifying opportunities for incremental business, new listings and category growth.
  • An entrepreneurial, proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership of commercial decisions.

You don't need to be a Country Manager today.

We're equally interested in ambitious Key Account Managers, National Account Managers, Business Managers and Commercial Managers who have the relevant grocery experience and are ready to take on broader responsibility.

What's on offer?

  • Negotiable base salary, reflecting experience
  • Annual bonus
  • Company car
  • Pension
  • Hybrid working - Dublin
