Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, commercially driven Country Manager to lead our online gaming business in Greece. Based in Athens, you will be responsible for driving commercial performance, developing and executing local marketing and brand strategies tailored to the Greek market, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring alignment with local market dynamics and regulatory requirements.

Working closely with local and central teams, you will strengthen our market position, drive customer acquisition and retention, and deliver sustainable, long-term growth in Greece’s competitive online gaming landscape.

Responsibilities include:

Marketing Strategy, Brand & Commercial Performance

  • Develop and implement local marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.

  • Own the marketing budget, optimize spend, and deliver agreed marketing and commercial KPIs as well as financial targets.

  • Manage relationships with creative and media agencies, ensuring high-quality delivery against objectives.

  • Monitor business performance, customer acquisition, campaign effectiveness, and brand health KPIs, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.

  • Prepare business forecasts, including marketing spend and customer acquisition projections.

  • Collaborate with central Marketing, CRM, and Business Intelligence (BI) teams to optimize performance and inform strategic decisions.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to strengthen brand positioning and identify opportunities for brand development and partnerships.

Product, Operations & Compliance

  • Coordinate with central product, operational, and functional teams to deliver local business priorities.

  • Communicate market requirements, provide product feedback, and recommend improvements to the customer proposition and experience.

  • Work closely with the in-house compliance team to coordinate local compliance requirements and submissions, ensuring marketing activities and business operations comply with applicable regulations and internal policies.

  • Identify potential compliance risks and escalate issues to the relevant stakeholders.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and coordinate the local marketing team, setting priorities, allocating responsibilities, and ensuring delivery against agreed plans.

  • Manage onboarding, performance reviews, and team development, fostering an accountable and collaborative culture.

  • Provide regular business updates, forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to internal stakeholders and shareholders.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in a senior commercial, marketing, or country management role, ideally within the iGaming or online gaming industry.

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, customer acquisition, CRM, retention, and online business performance.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage large scale marketing budgets, forecasts, and commercial and brand KPIs.

  • Strong creative mindset, ability to develop creative briefs and evaluate creative ideation and production.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate performance data, market research, and competitor insights into actionable strategies.

  • Experience managing agencies, cross-functional stakeholders, and local teams, including recruitment and performance management.

  • Good understanding of the regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to online gaming.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken.

  • A proactive, commercially minded, hands-on approach, combining strategic thinking with effective day-to-day execution.
