You are good at:
Ensuring that our seafarers are in the right place at the right time:
From forecast planning and crew changes to recruitment, documentation and joining preparations, you plan and coordinate the entire onboarding process and act as a reliable point of contact for our seafarers.
- Create forecast planning for the assigned positions to ensure that seafarers know when and where they are expected to join their vessel after their vacation.
- Actively contribute to seafarer retention by building trust, maintaining regular communication and identifying opportunities to support individual career development.
- Coordinate crew changes, including document checks for Officers, to ensure smooth and timely crew movements.
- Evaluate Officers’ appraisals and Ratings’ profiles and use the information to support appropriate crew planning and development.
- Manage the seafarer recruitment cycle following approval by the Head of Department.
- Ensure proper document and certificate management, maintaining compliance with applicable requirements.
- Brief and prepare NSB seafarers for joining their vessels, providing them with the information and support they need for a smooth transition on board.
Your skill set:
Qualifications & Professional Experience
- Completed Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; alternatively, completed vocational training, e.g. as a Shipping Clerk
- Proven experience in international crewing, preferably in a ship management or maritime environment.
- Good understanding of P&I Clubs and their purpose within the maritime industry.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to crewing and seafarer management.
