Principal SAP Strategy Consultant – Healthcare

Join a major European digital transformation organisation and take a leading role in shaping complex SAP healthcare transformations for hospitals, medical centres and other highly regulated organisations.

This is a senior, highly visible position combining SAP strategy, solution architecture, pre-sales and project leadership. You will develop innovative transformation roadmaps, lead major proposals and advise senior decision-makers on the future of their healthcare technology landscapes.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the SAP solution strategy for major national and international healthcare proposals and transformation programmes.
• Develop compelling win strategies in collaboration with SAP specialists, account teams and sales leadership.
• Translate complex customer requirements into high-level SAP solution architectures and transformation roadmaps.
• Design healthcare-specific solutions involving:
• SAP IS-H and future S/4HANA side-by-side architectures
• Patient and case management
• Clinical performance documentation
• Hospital information systems and clinical subsystems
• Billing and medical documentation platforms
• Lead functional and technical architects throughout proposals, presentations, discovery sessions and executive workshops.
• Develop implementation approaches and project plans based on SAP Activate.
• Coordinate commercial calculations, effort estimates, delivery models and business cases.
• Coach and professionally lead multidisciplinary SAP teams across strategy and implementation engagements.
• Expand the organisation’s SAP Healthcare portfolio, methodologies, consulting models and market propositions.
• Design digital business models, value chains and technology strategies specifically for the healthcare sector.
• Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for optimisation and redesign.
• Build transformation business cases and prepare strategic recommendations for executive-level stakeholders.
• Manage interdisciplinary project teams and coordinate customer, partner, nearshore and offshore delivery units.

Your Background

• At least eight years of successful experience in SAP consulting, pre-sales, bid management or SAP project leadership.
• Strong knowledge of the current SAP portfolio, including S/4HANA implementations, migrations, conversions, rollouts and cloud transformation.
• Proven healthcare-sector experience gained within hospitals, medical centres, health insurers or comparable organisations.
• Practical knowledge of SAP IS-H, including patient management, case management and integration with clinical systems.
• Experience designing and presenting complex SAP proposals to senior decision-makers.
• The ability to connect business strategy, healthcare processes and SAP architecture.
• Experience working with international or distributed delivery teams.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication and workshop facilitation skills.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with excellent analytical, organisational and commercial capabilities.
• Fluent German and English.
• A degree in business administration, engineering, business informatics, computer science or an equivalent qualification.
