Cybersecurity Engineering Lead

Cavendish Professionals are looking to speak to Lead Cyber Security Engineers to join an exciting client on a hybrid basis, with offices all over Central Europe. The successful candidates will play a key role in designing, deploying and maintaining enterprise-wide security architectures, with a particular focus on cloud security, network security and micro-segmentation solutions.

Skills and Requirements:

• Experience in Cyber Security Engineering and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience designing, deploying and maintaining security architectures.
• Experience with VMware vDefend Security Controls and micro-segmentation solutions.
• Understanding of cloud security, network security and digital transformation initiatives.
• Scripting and automation experience using Python, Shell or similar languages.
• Experience automating software installations, upgrades, database patching, OS patching and server provisioning.
• Experience working with cross-functional Technology, Architecture and Cyber Security teams.
• Experience developing project plans and conducting technical impact analyses.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex, high-impact technical issues and support rapid service restoration.

Candidate Profile:

• Strong technical background in Cyber Security Engineering and enterprise security architecture.
• Experience delivering complex, enterprise-wide transformation programmes.
• Knowledge of VMware vDefend Security Controls and micro-segmentation.
• Experience supporting cloud adoption and integrated network and cloud security environments.
• Strong scripting and automation capabilities.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders, security architecture teams and cross-functional working groups.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Drive the design, acquisition and deployment of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team.
• Ensure existing and planned security frameworks meet quality and compliance standards.
• Define scalable, integrated security architectures and influence product roadmaps.
• Partner with Transformation Programme Directors, Senior Architects, Steering Committees, CISO and CTI partners to deliver enterprise-wide transformation programmes.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security Lab, Architecture and Engineering teams to design, deploy and maintain VMware vDefend Security Controls and micro-segmentation solutions.
• Support Security Architecture Councils and Working Groups, maintaining alignment across cross-functional teams.
• Support cloud adoption and wider digital transformation initiatives.
• Develop Python, Shell and other automation scripts to streamline operational tasks, including software installations, upgrades, database patching, OS patching and server provisioning.
• Develop project plans and conduct technical impact analyses.
• Troubleshoot complex, high-impact technical issues and support rapid service restoration.
