Cybersecurity Epic Owner / Technical Project Manager (UNECE R155)

Project Description:

We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Epic Owner / Technical Project Manager to lead cybersecurity activities within a major automotive platform program and support the successful achievement of UNECE R155 Vehicle Type Approval (VTA).

This role requires a strong combination of automotive cybersecurity expertise, technical leadership, project management, and stakeholder coordination.

The successful candidate will drive cybersecurity compliance activities, oversee the planning and execution of cybersecurity epics, and ensure all required evidence, documentation, and risk management activities are completed for certification and approval.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Automotive Cybersecurity and/or Product Cybersecurity.

• Strong knowledge of UNECE R155 and cybersecurity requirements related to Vehicle Type Approval (VTA).

• Experience in a role combining cybersecurity expertise with technical project management, program management, or Epic Ownership.

• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.

• Experience coordinating complex cybersecurity initiatives across multiple teams and organizational functions.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Ability to drive deliverables in highly regulated and compliance-driven environments.

• Experience working with cybersecurity architects, engineering teams, governance bodies, and certification stakeholders.

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Product Cybersecurity (PCS) Cases.

• Knowledge of automotive software and system development processes.

• Experience supporting cybersecurity audits and certification activities.

• Experience in vehicle programs approaching production readiness and regulatory approval.

• Familiarity with Agile / SAFe frameworks.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead cybersecurity activities required to ensure compliance with UNECE R155 throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.

• Drive the completion and maintenance of cybersecurity documentation, evidence, and deliverables required for Vehicle Type Approval.

• Identify, assess, prioritize, and mitigate cybersecurity risks affecting product compliance and vehicle certification.

• Own and manage cybersecurity epics, including long-term strategic planning and short-term execution planning.

• Track progress, milestones, dependencies, risks, and blockers to ensure cybersecurity activities are delivered on schedule.

• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between:

  • Epic Owners and Product Owners

  • Vehicle Cybersecurity Architects

  • System Architects

  • Project Governance Teams

  • Certification and Compliance Teams

  • External Partners and Suppliers

• Support cybersecurity architects in preparing and completing the Product Cybersecurity (PCS) Case before Vehicle Type Approval.

• Ensure cybersecurity requirements are effectively integrated across vehicle development programs and engineering activities.

• Participate in cybersecurity audits, technical reviews, and certification discussions.

• Provide regular status reporting and stakeholder communication regarding compliance readiness and cybersecurity delivery progress.

• Drive successful closure of all cybersecurity activities required for certification and product launch.
