About The Company

Vivo Talent is supporting the recruitment of a Data Analyst Developer for an organisation investing in modern data, analytics and reporting capabilities. The business is focused on making information easier to access, understand and use, enabling teams to make better-informed decisions and improve the way they work. This opportunity is suited to a data professional who enjoys combining technical development with practical business problem-solving.

About The Role

As a Data Analyst Developer, you will help develop, maintain and enhance reporting solutions that turn complex datasets into clear, useful insights. Based in Birmingham, this is a hybrid role offering a salary of £45,000 to £48,000 per annum, plus excellent benefits. You will work hands-on with Power BI and Tableau, using SQL, data modelling and transformation techniques to build accessible dashboards and dependable reporting outputs. You will also work with cloud-based data platforms, including Snowflake, and collaborate with technical colleagues and business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver effective solutions.

The role offers scope to contribute across the analytics lifecycle, from gathering requirements and preparing data through to building visualisations, improving refresh processes and supporting the development of modern data platforms. You will help strengthen data quality, streamline reporting and explore emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, where they can add value. This position is ideal for someone who combines solid technical skills with curiosity, clear communication and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

You will bring practical experience developing dashboards and reports in Power BI and/or Tableau, together with strong SQL skills and the ability to work with data from multiple sources. Experience with Power BI capabilities such as DAX, Power Query, data modelling and row-level security will be valuable. You should understand how well-designed data models and reporting structures support accurate, consistent outputs.

Knowledge of cloud data platforms and technologies such as Snowflake, dbt or Azure data services is desirable. You will also be comfortable investigating data issues, interpreting complex information and explaining your findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to data quality, effective stakeholder communication and the ability to organise competing priorities are important. You should be able to work collaboratively, take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver work to agreed deadlines.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and improve interactive dashboards, reports and visualisations using Power BI and Tableau. Extract, transform and analyse datasets using SQL, Snowflake, Alteryx and other relevant tools, applying appropriate checks to support reliable reporting. Build and maintain data models, pipelines and automated refresh processes, helping ensure that information is accurate, timely and accessible.

Translate business questions and reporting requirements into practical analytical solutions, presenting complex information in a clear and relevant way. Work with business stakeholders and technical teams to clarify needs, investigate data discrepancies, resolve reporting issues and improve existing processes. Contribute to the development and migration of cloud-based analytics solutions, including work involving Snowflake and other modern data platforms. Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and improve data management, while assessing emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, for their potential to enhance analysis and decision-making. Document relevant solutions and support consistent, maintainable reporting practices across the business.

Benefits

The role offers a salary of £45,000 to £48,000 per annum, excellent benefits and a hybrid working arrangement in Birmingham. You will have the opportunity to contribute to modern data and analytics solutions, work with a varied technology stack and collaborate with colleagues across technical and business teams. Further information about the benefits package is available during the recruitment process.

We are committed to fair and inclusive recruitment and assess applicants on their skills, experience and suitability for the role.
