Build powerful BI solutions. Turn complex data into clear business insights.

Are you passionate about data, technology, and solving problems?

As our Data Analytics Specialist, you’ll be a hands-on technical expert with a strong focus on Power BI, helping our global organisation turn data into actionable insights. Working with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, you’ll investigate business challenges, uncover the drivers behind performance, and identify opportunities to improve decision-making. You’ll also help advance our analytics capabilities through AI and automation.

What you’ll do
You’ll develop BI solutions that help our teams across Marine Operations, Commercial, and Logistics understand performance, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions. Combining technical expertise with analytical thinking and business understanding, you’ll translate complex questions into practical solutions.

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise Power BI dashboards, interactive and paginated reports, and data models.
  • Translate business requirements into reliable, scalable data products, including well-structured data models and self-service reporting solutions.
  • Analyse data to identify patterns, trends, and deviations, investigate business performance, and pinpoint opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, IT, and business stakeholders to deploy and monitor analytics solutions, share knowledge, and support data-driven ways of working.
  • Use AI tools and automation to streamline analytical workflows and generate deeper insights, critically evaluating their accuracy and business value.

What you’ll bring

You’re a technically strong and curious person with a solid foundation in BI and data analysis. You enjoy understanding how things work, solving problems, and building reliable solutions that create business value. With a strong drive to learn and improve, you’re eager to deepen your skills in advanced analytics, programming, and AI, and turn new knowledge into practical solutions.

  • Strong hands-on Power BI expertise, including report development, data modelling, and DAX.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, delivering analytics solutions in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in SQL, with experience in relational databases, data modelling, and data warehouse concepts.
  • A bachelor’s degree, preferably a master’s, in engineering, statistics, technology, optimisation, business, or another quantitative field.
  • Some programming experience, for example in Python, and an interest in developing these skills further.
  • Strong communication skills, a curious and improvement-oriented mindset, and an interest in using AI tools critically and effectively.

Experience with maritime or shipping data, Microsoft Fabric, GitHub, or dbt is an advantage.

What we offer
Join us at our headquarters in Lysaker, Norway, and help shape how data and analytics create value across a global organisation. You’ll have the opportunity to build impactful BI solutions, explore emerging technologies, and contribute to our journey towards smarter, more automated, and advanced analytics.
