Data Architect

This is a remote position.

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to design, build, and modernize enterprise-scale data platforms that power analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and mission-critical business applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architecting secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud-based data ecosystems within SaaS or Product-based environments. This role requires close collaboration with Engineering, Product, Data Science, and DevOps teams to deliver robust, future-ready data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure, and highly available enterprise data architectures.
  
• Architect, implement, and optimize databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Graph Databases.
  
• Lead database modernization, migration, and transformation initiatives across enterprise platforms.
  
• Build and manage cloud-native data platforms using Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Databricks, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  
• Define enterprise data models, governance frameworks, security standards, and data lifecycle management practices.
  
• Optimize database performance, scalability, replication, backup, disaster recovery, and high availability.
  
• Design data platforms that support Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI, and Large Language Model (LLM) workloads.
  
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Data Science, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions.
  
• Establish best practices for data architecture, database design, performance optimization, and security.
  
• Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance, regulatory, and security requirements.
  
• Evaluate emerging data technologies and recommend improvements to the organization's data ecosystem.
  

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  
• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Database Engineering, or related roles.
  
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Graph Databases.
  
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Databricks, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  
• Proven experience in enterprise-scale database migration, modernization, architecture design, and performance tuning.
  
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, distributed database systems, governance, security, compliance, and data lifecycle management.
  
• Experience building data platforms that support AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Large Language Model (LLM) applications is highly desirable.
  
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
  
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Cloud, database, or data architecture certifications are an added advantage.
