We're looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to join our engineering team and take ownership of our existing frontend application.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you'll be responsible for auditing, maintaining, improving, and extending our existing frontend codebase.
A significant portion of the platform has already been developed, so we're looking for someone who can confidently work with an established codebase, identify technical issues, improve existing implementations, and develop new features.
You'll collaborate closely with backend engineers, product designers, QA engineers, and the product manager to ensure we deliver a reliable, scalable, and high-quality product.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Codebase Audit & Improvement
- Review and assess the existing frontend architecture and codebase.
- Identify and resolve bugs, technical debt, and performance bottlenecks.
- Refactor and optimise existing code for better maintainability and scalability.
- Improve code quality, structure, and development standards.
- Maintain technical documentation.
*2. Frontend Development*
- Build and maintain scalable applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Develop reusable, responsive, and accessible UI components.
- Implement new features based on product requirements and Figma designs.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
- Optimise application performance, SEO, and loading speed.
*3. API Integration & Data Management*
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs.
- Manage API requests, caching, and server state using TanStack Query.
- Implement schema validation using Zod.
- Handle authentication, loading states, error handling, and edge cases.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to troubleshoot integration issues.
*4. Design & Product Collaboration*
- Translate Figma designs into pixel-accurate, production-ready interfaces.
- Work closely with product designers to maintain UI consistency.
- Build and maintain reusable components using Radix UI and Tailwind CSS.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical feedback.
- Ensure implementations align with approved designs and product requirements.
*5. Engineering Quality & Delivery*
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Implement appropriate unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Review code and maintain engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with QA to identify and resolve issues.
- Participate in sprint planning, engineering discussions, and team meetings.
- Provide regular progress updates and communicate blockers.
- Support deployments and troubleshoot production issues.
*OUR TECH STACK*

- Strong understanding of REST APIs, authentication, and frontend security.
- Experience with responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimisation.
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.

*WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR*
We're looking for an engineer who takes ownership, thinks critically, and understands how to improve existing systems without unnecessarily rebuilding what already works.
You should be comfortable navigating unfamiliar codebases, making sound technical decisions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering reliable solutions.
If you're passionate about building scalable products and enjoy solving complex frontend challenges, we'd love to hear from you.
