Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and organized
Data Entry Specialist Assistant to join our remote team. This entry-level position supports daily business operations by entering, updating, reviewing, and maintaining accurate information across company systems, spreadsheets, databases, and digital records.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, following established procedures, managing repetitive tasks with accuracy, and meeting deadlines in a remote environment.
Previous professional data entry experience is not required. Training and guidance will be provided to qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities
Data Entry & Record Maintenance
- Enter, update, and maintain information in company databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems.
- Transfer information from approved source documents into digital records.
- Review entered information for accuracy and completeness.
- Correct routine errors and inconsistencies when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic records.
- Organize and categorize data according to established procedures.
- Process routine forms, records, and administrative documents.
- Perform basic quality-control checks on completed work.
- Identify missing or unclear information and request clarification when necessary.
- Maintain productivity while completing repetitive data-entry assignments.
Administrative Support
- Assist with general administrative and clerical responsibilities.
- Prepare, organize, and update spreadsheets and tracking documents.
- Maintain digital files, folders, and document-management systems.
- Upload, label, categorize, and archive electronic documents.
- Assist with processing routine internal requests.
- Retrieve authorized records and documents when requested.
- Help maintain contact lists, logs, reports, and other administrative resources.
- Support additional administrative projects as assigned.
Data Quality & Reporting
- Review records for obvious errors, duplicates, or missing information.
- Compare information across documents and systems when required.
- Perform routine data-quality checks.
- Assist with compiling information for reports and summaries.
- Update tracking reports using established templates.
- Follow established procedures for correcting or escalating data issues.
- Help ensure company records remain accurate, organized, and current.
Communication & Team Support
- Communicate professionally with supervisors and team members through email, chat, and virtual meetings.
- Provide status updates regarding assigned tasks.
- Respond to routine internal requests in a timely manner.
- Ask questions when instructions or information are unclear.
- Coordinate with team members to resolve basic data or documentation issues.
- Maintain professional communication while working remotely.
Confidentiality & Information Security
- Handle company, customer, vendor, and employee information responsibly.
- Follow established privacy, confidentiality, and information-security procedures.
- Access only records and systems authorized for assigned responsibilities.
- Protect passwords, login credentials, and confidential business information.
- Report potential data or security concerns through appropriate channels.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Comfortable using email, web browsers, and digital documents.
- Basic familiarity with spreadsheets and word-processing applications.
- Ability to type and enter information accurately.
