Our client, a prominent organization in the public health sector, is seeking a Data Functional Analyst to join a multidisciplinary agile team within their data office. The role focuses on bridging the gap between business requirements and technical specifications to deliver impactful data products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discussions with business subject matter experts to identify and understand data-related needs and business processes.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications for data flows and solutions.
  • Design and validate conceptual and logical data models in close collaboration with data architects.
  • Develop functional designs for business intelligence developments in alignment with data governance and technical leads.
  • Liaise with data protection officers to ensure all solutions comply with GDPR and security standards.
  • Coordinate the testing of data products and facilitate user training to encourage adoption.

Requirements

  • You bring 5+ years of experience in data functional analysis and data warehouse modelling using the Kimball approach.
  • You possess 3+ years of experience with the Microsoft on-premise stack, specifically SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and Power BI.
  • You have a proven track record in analyzing and designing complex operational and analytics data flows.
  • You're able to demonstrate strong data literacy and a conceptual understanding of business processes.
  • You bring a proactive, can-do attitude with a strong sense of ownership and autonomy.
  • You possess excellent problem-solving skills and a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset.
  • You have professional communication and presentation skills.
  • You are fluent in French and Dutch with active knowledge of English.

Nice to Haves

  • Prior experience working as a data engineer.
  • Experience with Azure Databricks.
