Data Functional Analyst – SQL Server & Power BI

Our client, a prominent organization in the public healthcare sector, is seeking a Data Functional Analyst to join their multidisciplinary data office. The role focuses on bridging the gap between business needs and technical data solutions within an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead discussions with business stakeholders to identify and assess operational and analytics data flows.
• Translate complex business needs into detailed technical and functional requirements.
• Design and validate conceptual and logical data models in collaboration with architecture teams.
• Establish functional designs for data developments while ensuring compliance with governance and security standards.
• Oversee the testing of developed data products to ensure alignment with requirements.
• Support business users through information sessions and training to encourage the adoption of data solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data functional analysis and data flow design.
• 3+ years of technical experience with the MS on-premise stack, specifically SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and Power BI.
• Proven experience in data warehouse modeling using the Kimball approach.
• You possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
• You have strong SQL skills and high data literacy.
• You're proactive and solution-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and autonomy.
• You are fluent in French and Dutch with active knowledge of English.

Nice to Haves

• Prior experience as a data engineer.
• Knowledge of Azure Databricks.
