Digital Asset Custody Manager

Role Description The Digital Asset Custody Manager is a part-time remote role responsible for overseeing the lifecycle, organization, and security of digital assets used across Cegelec Qatar W.L.L.’s operations and projects. Day-to-day tasks include cataloging and classifying digital files, maintaining accurate metadata, and ensuring that asset libraries comply with internal standards and contractual requirements. The role involves coordinating with project managers, engineering teams, and support functions to manage access permissions, version control, and retention policies for critical documentation and media. The Digital Asset Custody Manager will monitor asset integrity, perform regular audits, and support process improvements and system enhancements for digital asset management. This position requires consistent documentation, clear communication, and adherence to data governance and confidentiality protocols.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage and organize Digital Asset Management systems and Asset Management repositories, ensuring secure and efficient access to Digital Assets.
• Knowledge of Metadata standards and practices, with experience in defining, applying, and maintaining metadata for structured and unstructured digital content.
• Background in Library Services or information management, including cataloging, classification, and archival processes for digital collections.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and experience with documentation, records management, or data governance.
• Proficiency with relevant digital tools and platforms (e.g., content management systems, cloud storage, database or DAM solutions).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate remotely across multicultural and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in engineering, energy, or industrial projects is an advantage, as is familiarity with technical documentation standards.
• Relevant academic background in information science, library science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
