Job Overview:

As a Digital Marketing Specialist on the Growth and Demand team at ExploreK12, you will support the execution of digital marketing campaigns across paid media and SEO. This role will focus on campaign setup, optimization support, content execution, performance reporting, and dedicated e-commerce campaign support.

Working closely with senior team members and agency partners, this role will help ensure campaigns launch efficiently and that insights are surfaced to improve performance across a broad range of lead gen, e-commerce, and awareness campaigns.

Additionally, this position plays a key role in advancing e-commerce best practices, aligning demand generation efforts across paid media channels, and analyzing e-commerce campaign performance. In partnership with regional, international, and lifecycle marketing team members, the specialist helps ensure e-commerce campaigns are executed successfully.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of experience executing and optimizing e-commerce campaigns across a range of demand generation channels, or 2+ years of advertising agency experience.

Job Responsibilities:

E-commerce Campaign Support

  • Standardize best practices for e-commerce paid media campaigns at ExploreK12.

  • Align e-commerce paid media campaigns with email campaigns, as well as closely coordinate with lifecycle and regional marketing team strategies.

  • Perform cross-channel e-commerce reporting to identify opportunities for optimization and growth.

  • Brainstorm and implement e-commerce campaigns and optimizations for paid media.

  • Partner with paid media agency partner and senior team members to uncover e-commerce insights.

Paid Media Campaign Execution & Support

  • Assist in building and launching paid media campaigns across awareness, lead generation, and e-commerce (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, Stackadapt).

  • Support paid media agency management, ensuring deadlines are met and campaigns are successfully launched.

  • Support PPC audits, keyword research, ad copy development, ad creative planning, and audience targeting setup.

  • Help implement campaign updates, optimizations, A/B testing initiatives, and monitor test results.

  • Assist in updating campaign landing pages.

SEO Support

  • Conduct basic keyword research and competitive analysis, partnering with Senior Content Specialist to find content opportunities.

  • Assist with quarterly SEO audits and on-page SEO updates (metadata, internal linking, content optimization).

  • Support content calendar ideation through SEO keyword research and performance insights.

  • Monitor SEO performance and flag trends or issues.

  • Perform regular reporting and site health monitoring and partner with senior team members for analysis.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Pull and maintain regular reports across PPC/paid media and SEO.

  • Assist in updating dashboards in tools such as Google Analytics and Tableau.

  • Monitor campaign performance and highlight key insights or anomalies.

  • Ensure accuracy of campaign tracking (UTMs, tagging, etc.).

Project & Team Collaboration

  • Support project timelines by completing assigned tasks on schedule.

  • Partner with cross-functional marketing team members to align e-commerce strategies (lifecycle, regional, national, international, product marketing).

  • Assist in preparing materials and notes for agency and internal meetings.

  • Maintain organized documentation for campaigns and reporting.

Learning & Best Practices

  • Stay up to date on digital marketing trends and platform updates.

  • Continuously build knowledge in PPC, SEO, and e-commerce strategies.

  • Apply feedback from senior team members to improve execution and performance.

Job Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 2+ years of experience or internship experience in digital marketing.

  • Basic understanding of digital marketing channels (PPC, SEO, social media).

  • Experience with e-commerce strategies and optimizations.

  • Familiarity with Google Analytics or similar analytics platforms.

  • Exposure to paid advertising platforms (Google Ads, Meta).

  • Basic knowledge of SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, etc.).

  • Exposure to marketing automation platforms (Marketo or similar).

  • Experience with Excel or Google Sheets for reporting.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Experience with basic design tools (Adobe Express, Canva, etc.)

  • Interest in K–12 or education marketing

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes.

  • Analytical mindset with interest in performance data.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Collaborative team player with a proactive attitude.

  • Experience optimizing and implementing e-commerce campaigns.
