The Opportunity

Caraway’s Digital Product team is responsible for delivering a best-in-class e-commerce experience. We’re looking for a Digital Product Manager to own our onsite experimentation program and drive product improvements that increase conversion and generate incremental revenue, from identifying opportunities through testing and shipping improvements.

Reporting to the Director of Digital Product, you’ll shape the customer experience across product detail pages (PDPs), cart, checkout, homepage, landing pages, and PLPs. You’ll partner with Engineering, UX, Creative, Growth, Merchandising, Analytics, CX, and Product Marketing, combining clear product judgment with hands-on technical skills and disciplined measurement.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Prioritization

  • Translate product direction into requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, dependencies, success measures, and sequenced delivery plans.
  • Own the site experimentation roadmap, using funnel analysis, customer feedback, and behavioral insights to identify opportunities to improve conversion.
  • Manage Digital Product intake across stakeholder requests, bugs, launch needs, optimization ideas, technical debt, and roadmap opportunities.
  • Own backlog grooming, sprint planning, delivery follow-up, release readiness, and post-launch reviews for assigned workstreams.

Experimentation & Technical Execution

  • Partner with Engineering and Design to assess feasibility, sequence work, manage tradeoffs, and resolve delivery blockers.
  • Manage delivery from scoping through launch, balancing experiments with conversion-critical bugs and site improvements.
  • Own QA across variants, devices, responsive layouts, cart and checkout behavior, and tracking. Partner with Engineering on feasibility, performance, release readiness, and rollback plans.
  • Use HTML, CSS, and browser developer tools to inspect onsite experiences, troubleshoot issues, and make targeted changes within approved tools.
  • Turn results into decisions to ship, iterate, or stop; coordinate permanent implementation and post-launch validation, keeping partners aligned on tradeoffs and next steps.

Onsite Personalization & Segmentation

  • Own and expand onsite personalization and segmentation logic, including new versus returning visitors and traffic source.
  • Partner with Growth, Merchandising, Creative, and UX on audience-specific content and experiences, with clear targeting rules, exclusions, and fallback behavior.
  • Validate targeting and measure incremental impact through controlled testing where feasible.

Measurement & Reporting

  • Partner with Analytics and Growth to establish trusted metric definitions, tracking, funnels, and dashboards before launch.
  • Define sample size, test duration, success criteria, and guardrails for experiments. Apply sound statistical judgment and account for overlapping tests, promotions, and data-quality issues to prevent false positives.
  • Deliver a monthly readout connecting experiment outcomes to estimated incremental revenue, including assumptions, uncertainty, rollout status, and learnings.
  • Distinguish observed results from projected impact, avoid double-counting gains, and use post-launch performance to inform future product decisions.

What Success Looks Like

  • Customer insights and business priorities translate into a focused roadmap and clear product decisions.
  • Shipped improvements increase conversion while respecting AOV and RPV guardrails, with revenue impact measured and communicated.
  • Experiments and features launch with strong QA, reliable tracking, and clear ownership.
  • Results and learnings inform future work, including when to stop or change direction.

Who You Are

  • You have 3–5 years of relevant experience in product management, growth, or CRO, with demonstrated ownership of e-commerce experimentation and customer-facing product improvements.
  • You can walk through a feature you shipped: the customer problem, how you prioritized it, the tradeoffs you made, how you partnered with Design and Engineering, and what you learned from its performance after launch.
  • You have hands-on experience designing, launching, and analyzing A/B tests, including applying sample-size requirements, statistical uncertainty, and test-duration discipline to rollout decisions.
  • You can independently inspect and edit HTML/CSS, use browser developer tools, and troubleshoot responsive layouts and tracking issues. You know when a change requires Engineering support.
  • You can turn customer insights and funnel data into hypotheses, make and defend prioritization decisions, and write clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • You are comfortable working with commerce platforms, CMS tools, experimentation platforms, and analytics, and communicating results in terms of customer and business impact.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Shopify, Pack, Intelligems, or a comparable DTC commerce and experimentation stack.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, Shopify Liquid, headless commerce, APIs, or third-party integrations.
  • Experience with behavioral analytics, session recordings, customer research, or onsite personalization.
  • A background in growth marketing, with a strong understanding of the customer journey from paid ads through landing pages, onsite discovery, and purchase.
  • Experience using AI tools to support research, analysis, or workflow efficiency, with human validation of outputs.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $100,000 - 120,000. Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors determining the base pay at offer, including but not limited to: skills, qualifications, experience. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
