Role Overview Mint Source is hiring a Direct Response Copywriter to join a performance creative agency that produces high-volume static ads in-house for DTC and e-commerce brands on Meta . This is a copy-first seat inside the agency's creative strategy team. You'll research brands and their customers, find the angles that aren't obvious, and write the headlines that drive the static ads the agency ships every day. As you settle in, you'll take on more of the strategy side: personas, messaging strategies, and creative forecasts for the accounts you write for. A full creative team executes on your briefs, and you're shielded from client communication so you can focus entirely on the work. What You'll Do Write pattern-interrupting headlines for static ads across multiple brands, making it immediately clear what the product is and why it matters Produce multiple headline variations on a single angle, each with a distinct voice and structure Research customer insights across reviews, Reddit, competitor ads, and real customer language to surface angles that aren't obvious Use the Meta Ad Library to reverse-engineer competitor creative and catch emerging patterns Turn research into clear briefs, covering angles, headlines, and visual direction for the in-house design team Read performance data from live ads to see what's working, what's fatiguing, and where the creative gaps are, then push into new angles and formats Grow into the strategy layer: research-backed personas, messaging strategies, and creative forecasts that map which angles to test next Use AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT daily for research, persona building, and workflow acceleration What We're Looking For Proven direct response copywriting experience in DTC/e-commerce. Long-form VSLs, sales emails, sales pages, ad scripts, or static ad copy all count. You understand avatars, awareness levels, and audience sophistication, and you know what makes copy convert A repeatable research methodology you can walk through end to end. You dig into real customer language, reviews, and competitor ads rather than guessing, and you know how research becomes copy that performs. "I look at competitors" isn't a methodology Scroll-stopping writing that favors clarity over cleverness, with ten variations on one angle that never sound alike The ability to articulate why an angle will work before it's tested. You don't just have instinct, you can explain the reasoning behind it Excellent written & spoken English. Your headlines go straight into live ads, with no rewrite in between A portfolio or work samples that show strong copy and research-driven thinking Fluency with AI tools ( Claude , ChatGPT , etc.) for research and workflow.
