The Director of Art and AI Integration is responsible for developing and executing compelling creative concepts that communicate our clients’ messages and strengthen their brand identities.
Working closely with the Creative Director and broader agency team, this role provides art direction, supports the presentation and refinement of creative concepts, and ensures work is strategically aligned, visually cohesive, and executed to a high standard.
The Director will also lead the thoughtful use of AI within the creative team. This role is not about automating creative work. It is about using technology to improve research, workflows, file management, project administration, and other supporting processes, giving our team more time to focus on creativity, ideas, strategy, design, storytelling, and craft.

Location
This role is open to applicants residing near our Fredericton or Saint John offices. We are also open to considering remote applicants.
Creative Direction and Design
Collaborate with the Creative Director and creative team to develop concepts aligned with client objectives and brand strategy.
Provide visual direction across campaigns, brand identities, graphics, layouts, digital experiences, and multimedia.
Help oversee creative execution and maintain a high standard of quality and consistency.
Support the presentation of creative concepts and respond thoughtfully to client and internal feedback.
Help ensure the creative vision is carried consistently from concept through production.
AI Innovation and Workflow Improvement
Identify and implement AI-enabled tools that improve creative workflows and reduce administrative burden.
Explore opportunities in research, file organization, knowledge sharing, project coordination, and quality assurance.
Help leadership implement practical standards for AI use, including privacy, intellectual property, transparency, and accountability.
Document and share successful tools, systems, and processes across the team.
Help team members confidently adopt technologies that support and strengthen their creative work.
Collaboration and Project Leadership
Work closely with designers, copywriters, strategists, the Account team, developers, and production partners.
Manage multiple projects, priorities, timelines, and creative resources.
Foster a collaborative environment that encourages experimentation, constructive feedback, and creative excellence.
Mentor junior and intermediate team members and support their professional development.
Make informed decisions related to creative direction, production, project priorities, and workflow improvements.
Research and Strategic Thinking
Conduct research, trend analysis, and competitive reviews to inform creative strategy.
Collaborate with the Account and Strategy teams on positioning and project objectives.
Stay current on developments in design, advertising, technology, media, and culture.
Evaluate emerging tools thoughtfully, considering their practical value, limitations, and risks.
Required Skills and Experience
Five or more years of experience in an art direction, senior design, or creative leadership role.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Strong proficiency in Figma and collaborative digital design workflows.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of AI tools and their application within creative and operational workflows.
Broad understanding of creative production, including brand design, digital design, motion design, video editing, and social media content.
Strong conceptual thinking, visual judgment, typography, layout, and brand development skills.
Advanced technical competency and the ability to assess, learn, and implement new tools and processes.
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, file management, and quality control.
Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, and mentorship skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within established timelines, scopes, and budgets.
A strong portfolio demonstrating creative leadership, design excellence, and strategic problem-solving.
