【JPY 15-25M｜External Affairs｜Senior Manager – Director】

A world-renowned global consumer goods company is strengthening its External Affairs function in Japan as part of a large-scale, global business transformation.

We are looking for a Senior Manager / Director to lead government relations, policy and stakeholder strategy for the Japan market.

■ About the Company

・Currently driving a major business transformation, with Japan positioned as one of its most strategically important markets

・External Affairs is positioned as a strategic function directly linked to management and business strategy

■ Key Responsibilities

・Develop and execute External Affairs / Public Affairs strategy for Japan

・Build relationships with government ministries, Diet members, local governments and industry associations

・Monitor and analyze policy and regulatory developments, and advise senior leadership

・Engage with academia, media, NGOs/NPOs and external experts

・Plan and lead research, awareness initiatives and events with external partners

・Drive CSR / ESG, social impact and corporate reputation initiatives

・Collaborate closely with global and regional External Affairs teams

・Lead cross-functional projects and teams

■ Requirements

・Experience in one or more of the following:

External Affairs / Public Affairs, Government Relations, Policy & Regulatory Affairs, CSR / ESG / Sustainability, Corporate Affairs / Corporate Communications

・Experience engaging diverse external stakeholders (government, industry associations, academia, media, NGOs, etc.)

・Ability to drive projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders

・Strategic thinking that connects External Affairs to business priorities

・Business-level English

■ Preferred

・Senior Manager / Director-level experience in External Affairs

・Deep knowledge of public policy and regulatory strategy

・Direct policy engagement experience with government officials and Diet members

・Experience reporting to and advising senior leadership

・Experience working with global / regional teams

■ Conditions

・Compensation: up to JPY 25M (base + incentive), depending on experience and level

・Location: Tokyo (hybrid work, flextime)

・アカデミア、メディア、NPO・NGO、有識者とのステークホルダーエンゲージメント

・外部パートナーとの調査・啓発活動・イベントの企画推進

・CSR／ESG、社会貢献、コーポレートレピュテーション施策の推進

・グローバル／リージョナルチームとの連携

・クロスファンクショナルなプロジェクト・チームのリード

■ 必須

・以下いずれかの実務経験

External Affairs／Public Affairs、Government Relations、政策渉外・規制対応、CSR／ESG／Sustainability、Corporate Affairs／Corporate Communications

・官公庁、業界団体、アカデミア、メディア等とのステークホルダー対応経験

・社内外の関係者を巻き込み、プロジェクトを推進できる方

・ビジネスレベルの英語力

・年収：最大2,500万円（固定給＋インセンティブ。経験・職位により決定）
