Director of Renewable Energy

Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a Director of Renewable Energy. The Director will lead the development and implementation of renewable energy strategies across MMP and Groupe AD industrie, including assessing opportunities in solar, wind, and other low-carbon technologies. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing energy markets, evaluating potential projects, and aligning initiatives with regulatory and policy frameworks. The role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners, preparing business cases, and advising leadership on investment decisions and risk management. The Director will also monitor performance of existing energy projects, identify efficiency improvements, and ensure that renewable energy efforts support overall sustainability and financial objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate projects, interpret data, and support evidence-based decision-making.
• In-depth knowledge of the Energy Industry and Energy Management to oversee operational performance and optimize energy use.
• Expertise in Renewable Energy technologies and markets to guide strategic direction and project selection.
• Understanding of Energy Policy and regulatory frameworks to ensure compliance and leverage incentives.
• Proven experience in leading strategic initiatives or programs in energy, sustainability, or related fields.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting, with effective time management and communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, external partners, and senior leadership.
• Relevant academic background in engineering, environmental science, energy management, business, or a related discipline.
• Prior experience in industrial or infrastructure sectors is beneficial.
