Job Summary:
As the Director of Product Marketing at Visual Edge IT, you’ll be a strategic marketing leader responsible for turning market insight into products, solutions, and go-to-market strategies that drive adoption and revenue. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you’ll lead product marketing strategy across our print, Managed IT, cloud, communications, and cybersecurity portfolio—helping determine not only how we take solutions to market, but where we can create new opportunities for growth.
This role sits at the intersection of Product, Sales, Service, Marketing, and the customer. You’ll use market research, customer insights, competitive intelligence, business data, and seller feedback to identify opportunities, sharpen positioning, define target audiences, build compelling value propositions, and develop go-to-market strategies that translate complex technology into meaningful business outcomes.
You’ll also lead the end-to-end product marketing lifecycle—from opportunity assessment and solution development through pilot, launch, adoption, and ongoing growth. With ownership of a portfolio performance scorecard tracking leads, conversions, sales, profit, pipeline, adoption, and other key metrics, you’ll have a direct connection between your work and measurable business results.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead product marketing strategy and go-to-market execution across Visual Edge IT’s print, Managed IT, cloud, communications, and cybersecurity portfolio.
- Conduct market and customer research using third-party analyst insights, customer and business data, competitive intelligence, win/loss findings, QBRs, and Sales and Service feedback to identify market trends, customer needs, buying barriers, and growth opportunities.

- Develop Opportunity Assessments that identify unmet customer needs, target segments, competitive gaps, Visual Edge IT differentiation, and recommended offerings to inform investment and go/no-go decisions.
- Define ideal customer profiles, target markets, buyer personas, use cases, customer outcomes, positioning, messaging, value propositions, and supporting proof points for products and bundled solutions.
- Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies covering product, pricing, placement, and promotion.
- Partner with Product Management and Finance to evaluate competitive pricing, buyer expectations, bundle economics, promotions, recurring revenue opportunities, and margin considerations.
- Define customer segments, verticals, geographies, sales and partner channels, buying journeys, and acquisition, upsell, and cross-sell motions—with a focus on expanding managed services within existing print accounts.
- Lead integrated promotional strategies across appropriate channels, including SEO, SEM, email, social media, online advertising, and other demand-generation programs.
- Own end-to-end go-to-market planning and execution for new products, bundled solutions, pilots, relaunches, and product updates.
- Coordinate Product Management, Sales, Service, and Marketing throughout opportunity assessment, business and technical review, MVP pilot launches, general availability launches, and ongoing product growth.
- Establish launch plans, owners, timelines, dependencies, readiness criteria, and performance expectations, using pilot results and market feedback to refine offerings and scale successful solutions.
- Ensure customer-facing marketing promises align with approved product capabilities, operational readiness, and delivery expectations.
- Direct product marketing content and communications, including website and landing pages, articles, blogs, brochures, videos, webinars, social content, and press releases.
- Create and oversee sales enablement resources including presentations, playbooks, competitive battlecards, datasheets, discovery guides, objection-handling tools, QBR materials, and customer proof points.
- Partner with Sales, Product Management, and HR Training to deliver sales enablement and training that equips sellers, MDRs, and channel partners to communicate value and effectively sell bundled solutions.
- Maintain a portfolio KPI scorecard tracking leads, conversions, sales, profit, qualified opportunities, pipeline, win rate, adoption, recurring revenue, acquisition cost, and other relevant performance indicators.
- Use performance data to evaluate marketing effectiveness, refine targeting and messaging, improve conversion paths, and identify opportunities to accelerate adoption and revenue.
- Manage, coach, and develop the Product Marketing team by establishing clear responsibilities, priorities, performance goals, and development plans.
- Allocate resources, resolve competing priorities, and build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure shared commitments are delivered.
Required Skills / Experience
