Dynamics 365 F&O SCM Functional Consultant

We are actively seeking a Dynamics 365F&O Supply Chain Management (SCM) Consultant with experience across all phases of large-scale enterprise Dynamics 365F&O projects. With a hands-on approach and proven experience in end-to-end implementations, strong understanding of SCM process and procedures combined with practical knowledge of interfacing and integration with Dynamics products. A demonstrable history of consultancy experience is a must as this role will entail continuous interaction with clients and working alongside both onshore and offshore development teams. This role may also require a level of presales activities focused on Dynamics F&O functionality and the wider Microsoft platform.
Responsibilities
- Involvement in full end-to-end implementations and all phases of project life cycle
- Involvement with D365FO interfaces and Integrations
- Ability to gather and document functional requirements and complete gap/fit analysis
- Ownership of gathering and documentation of functional requirements and complete gap/fit analysis for workstream
- Advise client and delivery team members of scope (creep) and use of change control processes
- Owning the solution for the Supply chain / logistics work stream, making design decisions and reviewing/creating solution documentation
- Delivery of end-user training to clients and colleagues where applicable
- Provide on-site support and assistance throughout delivery and go-live phases of project to client and more junior team members
- Involvement in responding to RFPs and RFQs
- Solves and advises on complex problems with creative solutions
- Awareness of product roadmap and the content of future releases of D365FO in the supply chain area and demonstrate changes/additions to team members
- Strong involvement in further development of SCM capabilities in D365 F&O product team
- Demonstrate ability around upselling and understanding of additional company capabilities
- Identify practice development activities and strong involvement in the creation and delivery of these to fellow colleagues
- Leads people and helps to grow them in their role
Most of us live in beautiful Cornwall and our offices are less than 5 miles from the beach. While we love Cornwall and can't imagine not living here, we know a lot of people are happy elsewhere. We expect everyone to come to our office occasionally, maybe once or twice a quarter, and there are some client visits necessary but apart from that we are happy for our team to be based anywhere in the UK. If you are lucky enough to be based in Cornwall, our new offices are set-up for you to work here if you would prefer though.
Skills:
- Extensive experience in consulting and excellent presentation skills
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations (D365FO) / AX2012 implementation experience
- Understanding of procurement processes and vendor management
- Understanding of sales processes and customer management
- Understanding of inventory processes
- Understanding of inventory and production postings and accounting processes.
- Good knowledge of production and master planning
- Experience with transportation and advanced warehousing is desirable
- Experience with (D365FO) interfaces and Integrations
- Strong understanding of logistics and production processes, principles, functionality & systems
- Microsoft Dynamics certification in Trade and Logistics, ideally most current version
- Beneficial to have experience of LCS and Azure DevOps
- Strong MS Office skills (primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Visio is a plus)
