Dynamics 365 Solution Architect

Job Description This is a remote position. One of our clients in the technology services sector is looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 Solution Architect to join a growing Digital Practice alongside specialists across Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power Platform, AI, and Data . The successful candidate will provide strategic consultancy, solution architecture, technical advisory, and governance for complex Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform implementations across enterprise environments. This role requires a senior-level professional who can lead Dynamics 365 implementations from discovery through deployment , act as a trusted advisor to clients, define scalable solution architectures, support pre-sales activities, and mentor other consultants and technical team members. Key Deliverables Dynamics 365 Solution Architecture Lead Dynamics 365 implementations through all project phases, including discovery, definition, design, build, testing, deployment, and go-live . Act as the primary Solution Architect, Design, Compliance, and Governance point of contact throughout the project lifecycle. Design scalable, secure, maintainable, and business-aligned Dynamics 365 and Power Platform architectures . Provide deep technical expertise across Dynamics 365 Sales, Dynamics 365 Customer Service, and Dynamics 365 Marketing / Customer Insights . Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into effective Dynamics 365 solutions. Promote an Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) approach wherever practical, minimising unnecessary customisation. Define solution specifications and architecture standards in collaboration with development and technical teams. Ensure architecture decisions align with Microsoft best practices and enterprise standards. Discovery & Business Requirements Work closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements through discovery workshops and consultations. Translate business processes and requirements into functional and technical solution designs. Identify opportunities to improve business processes through Dynamics 365 and Power Platform capabilities. Advise clients on technology choices, solution approaches, integrations, and platform capabilities. Act as a trusted advisor for clients on Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and enterprise application architecture . Implementation & Governance Provide architectural oversight throughout implementation, ensuring solutions meet agreed technical, functional, security, and governance standards. Manage technical risks, issues, dependencies, and architectural decisions. Support delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to client requirements . Develop and continuously improve Dynamics 365 implementation standards, frameworks, methodologies, and tools . Collaborate with other Solution Architects to maintain consistency in architecture, documentation, quality, and technical standards. Review proposed solutions and provide technical governance and quality assurance. Client Advisory & Demonstrations Conduct client-facing workshops, architecture discussions, and technical consultations. Present tailored Dynamics 365 demonstrations aligned with client business requirements. Explain complex technical concepts and architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Build long-term trusted-advisor relationships with clients. Pre-Sales & Solution Design Work closely with Sales Teams and Sales Specialists to support new opportunities. Contribute to Statements of Work (SOWs) , solution proposals, technical approaches, and project estimates. Support tender responses, RFPs, and bid submissions with technical architecture and solution design input. Develop high-quality solution approaches that align customer requirements with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform capabilities. Support sales demonstrations and technical discovery where required. Team Leadership & Mentoring Mentor and guide Dynamics 365 consultants and technical team members. Support team members in developing the skills required to progress toward Solution Architect positions. Share knowledge, architectural standards, technical approaches, and Dynamics 365 best practices. Collaborate with peer architects and technical specialists across D365, Power Platform, AI, and Data . Contribute to career development and technical capability-building initiatives. Technology Strategy & Innovation Provide insights into Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power Platform, AI, Data, and emerging Microsoft technologies . Support technology reviews and contribute to the development of the Digital Practice's technical strategy. Identify new opportunities to leverage Microsoft technologies to improve client solutions. Stay current with Microsoft product roadmaps, platform capabilities, architecture patterns, and industry trends. Requirements Ideal Profile 7+ years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 . At least 3+ years of experience working as a Dynamics 365 Solution Architect . Strong experience designing and delivering complex Dynamics 365 implementations . Deep expertise across a majority of: Dynamics 365 Sales Dynamics 365 Customer Service Dynamics 365 Marketing Dynamics 365 Customer Insights Strong understanding of Microsoft Power Platform and its integration with Dynamics 365. Proven experience leading architecture and design activities throughout the full project lifecycle. Experience working directly with clients and senior business stakeholders. Strong understanding of solution architecture, technical governance, integration, security, scalability, and enterprise application design . Experience working with Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, Sales Teams, and other technical specialists. Strong pre-sales experience, including SOWs, tender responses, RFPs, demonstrations, and solution proposals . Proven ability to mentor and develop other consultants and technical professionals. Third-level qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline , or equivalent professional experience. Certifications Relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Power Platform certifications are highly desirable, particularly certifications aligned with: Dynamics 365 Sales Dynamics 365 Customer Service Dynamics 365 Customer Insights Microsoft Power Platform Dynamics 365 Solution Architecture Nice to Have Experience working with AI and Data technologies within the Microsoft ecosystem. Experience with enterprise-scale Dynamics 365 transformation programmes . Experience designing integrations between Dynamics 365 and third-party enterprise applications. Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure-based integration services. Experience supporting large-scale private or public sector organisations. Strong knowledge of Microsoft product roadmaps and emerging Dynamics 365 capabilities. Experience developing internal architecture standards, frameworks, and implementation accelerators. Previous experience working within a Microsoft-focused consultancy or technology services environment.
