Role Description The Editor role at Vietnam Television is a full-time hybrid position based in Hanoi, with the flexibility to perform some duties from home. The Editor is responsible for reviewing, selecting, and refining content for broadcast and digital platforms, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with VTV’s editorial standards. Daily tasks include editing scripts and voiceovers, coordinating with reporters, producers, and camera crews, and shaping news and feature segments for television and online publication. The Editor also verifies sources and factual information, checks compliance with legal and ethical guidelines, and provides constructive feedback to content creators to improve storytelling quality. Collaboration with technical teams to finalize video packages, adapt content for multiple platforms, and meet tight production deadlines is an essential part of the role.
Qualifications

• Strong editorial, writing, and copyediting skills, with the ability to refine scripts and narrative structure for broadcast and digital media.
• Experience in news production, documentary or feature editing, and familiarity with television newsroom workflows and content management systems.
• Competence in video editing tools and basic post-production processes, including sequencing, sound checks, and visual quality control.
• Proficiency in research, fact-checking, and source verification, ensuring accuracy and adherence to journalistic ethics and legal standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with reporters, producers, technical staff, and international correspondents.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and adapt content for multiple platforms, including TV, web, and streaming.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Prior experience in broadcast journalism or television editing is highly desirable; familiarity with Vietnamese and international media landscapes is
