Role Description

This is a full-time, remote role for an Electrical and Control System Engineer at The Three Phase. The engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of control systems, electrical schematics, and power distribution networks for industrial automation and renewable energy projects. You will support project execution from conceptual design through commissioning, focusing on both low- and medium-voltage applications.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of power system design, low and medium voltage distribution, and motor control centers (MCCs)

Electrical controls, control panel design, and system integration experience

Expertise in electrical design for solar PV, battery storage, and grid-tied systems

Proficient in load flow analysis, short circuit studies, and arc flash coordination

Hands-on experience installing and calibrating pressure, level, speed, and temperature transmitters

Familiarity with SCADA systems, Ignition, TIA Portal, ControlLogix/Studio 5000, and AutoCAD/EPLAN

Ability to troubleshoot and support soft starters, VFDs, and protection relays (e.g., SEL 751, ABB, Schneider)

Knowledge of automation systems, PLC/HMI programming, and industrial networking

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (PE license preferred or in progress)

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with remote collaboration
