Company Description Echuca Regional Health is a major regional health service located approximately 200 kilometers north of Melbourne in the riverside community of Echuca-Moama, a region known for diverse sporting, leisure, and lifestyle activities. Following a $65 million redevelopment in 2015, the hospital now provides 113 beds and a broad range of services, including emergency, medical, surgical, maternity, paediatric, urology, orthopaedic, ophthalmology, dental, chemotherapy, haemodialysis, and aged care through Glanville Village. As the largest employer in the Campaspe Shire, Echuca Regional Health employs over 1,000 staff and operates with a $62 million budget, strongly focused on being a sub-regional teaching health service. Team members benefit from learning and development programs, flexible employment practices, salary packaging, wellbeing and recognition initiatives, and free onsite parking. Echuca Regional Health is an equal employment opportunity employer and maintains a clear commitment to safety and respect, including a firm stance against family violence.
Role Description The Emergency Medicine Physician provides comprehensive emergency and urgent care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department at Echuca Regional Health. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing and stabilizing acutely unwell or injured patients, performing diagnostic evaluations, initiating and coordinating treatment plans, and managing critical care cases in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Echuca, VIC, with primary duties on-site in the Emergency Department and limited work-from-home opportunities for non-clinical activities such as documentation, teaching preparation, and participation in virtual meetings.
