Emulation Engineer
Kasa CompaniesWe are seeking an innovative Emulation Engineer who enjoys blending technology, problem-solving, and real-world system design to create accurate virtual models of conveyor and automation systems. In this role, you'll work closely with customers, project teams, and engineering leaders to develop emulation solutions that improve system performance, reduce project risk, and support successful project delivery.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update custom conveyor modules that mimic real world physics and geometry needed for emulation.
- Develop, maintain, and update internal process documents to aid in consistency from one project to the next.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the mechanical and controls operations of all relevant conveyor types (such as Belted, CDLR, Skid, OHP&F, MDR, Shoe Sorters, ARB, etc.) pertinent to the industry in which they are working.
- Read Scope of Work for a system and understand what is required or ask questions of the PM/PE to get clarification.
- Engage with customers effectively as needed on projects.
- Travel responsibilities may include site visitation for data gathering and customer interaction.
- Works alone or with project team and communicate well with the project lead and or project manager.
- Attends and actively participates in project meetings.
- Understands and follows Kasa Standard Operating Procedures.

Training Required
- Completes company LEAN training and participates in Kaizen events as needed.
- Understands Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements and how it applies to this position as determined by ISO 9001 and to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Completes forklift training.
Education & Experience
- Highschool diploma/GED required.
- One-year certificate from college or technical school; or one to three years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel & Outlook required.

- Ability to interpret a variety of instruction, either written or verbal, diagram or schedule.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers in a one-on-one and/or group setting.

Work Environment
This position operates in a remote setting. It routinely requires using standard office equipment, such as computer, phones, copiers, fax machines, etc. Days and hours of work are Monday-Friday. 7:30am-4:30pm. Occasional evenings and weened work may be required as job duties demand. Travel is required.
Physical Demands
Performance of the required duties will require ability to occasionally climb permanent and temporary stairs, climb ladders, negotiate work areas under construction, balance, stoop, kneel, couch, or crawl. Occasionally requires use of construction personnel hoists. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job regularly requires use of hands to touch, handle or manipulate objects tools or controls. Performing this job also regularly requires ability to sit, stand, talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move heavy weight. Employee must be capable of using tools, and able to help install equipment and make adjustments/modifications to that equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee works on-site at the construction worksite where the employee is regularly expose to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in this work environment can be moderate to loud.
